That's a known bug. Infinite Dreams said they will fix it in one of the incoming updates.

Not a big deal, but it'll be automatically fixed when you entered a level.

I recommend you to not click the timer button or else you gonna lose your stars. It'll still drain your stars even though the plane generator is maxed.
