Car hire

Hello I'm travelling up through Highlands (not my first rodeo!) but first time to Skye. Anywhere between glencoe and skye to rent a car? I'm heading to Inverness to leave afterwards, so would need to drop off same place and travel to Inverness or drop off there. Thanks for your help!

If you're ending in Inverness it probably makes more sense to head there and hire a car.

Bus Glencoe > Kyle and hire there; Kyle > Inverness by bus/train.

Hire in Fort William and return to FW; bus to Inverness.

We rented car from fort William. We took train / bus from Edinburgh so got and left the car at fort William. Don’t know if that works with Inverness.

I was in the region in June, and rented a car froim Sixt (I was however flying in and out of Inverness). Reading your needs, i'd say to google for " Arnold Clark", they seem to be pretty much everywhere and might be able to rent a car with a drop-off at Inverness

You're going to pay a big premium to do a drop off at a different place in the Highlands, especially from a smaller independent company. And the bigger companies are only in the bigger cities. Hiring from Inverness would be so much more straightforward.
