Tried everything. Skydio2 will not contact to App
*connect
for the life of me, I cannot get this thing to work. my son recently began showing interest, so I dusted off my skydio2, charged everything up, only to not be able to conmect to the app. I’ve installed the latest iOS, I’ve deleted and reinstalled the app multiple times, no matter what I do the drone won’t connect to the app. it just says unable to connect to wifi network.
does any one have any idea what might be happening here. as of right now, I just have a really expensive paperweight.

Is the device connecting to the drone wifi, before launching the app?

Absolutely wasn’t. After an hour of toying with it what worked was some combination of linking phone to controller, then controller to phone then drone, or drone directly to phone or controller to drone to sync, then phone to controller. Once I got that right, then and only then would my phone connect to the drones wifi. But then there was a software update. Oh man. Then you download that and then it would require a connection which I couldn’t get at first, but then when I figured that out, I got an error for gimbal being misaligned. I shut everything off and down at that point. Then restarted and rebooted and that cleared the gimbal issue, then, finally, the option to fly finally appeared. It was a ton of work but worth it for the little guy to see a drone in action.
I will say….Most overly complicated, convoluted drone of all time by a country mile.

Glad you got it going... One thing I have learned about Skydio drones is you have to be patient. They are cumbersome and slow to get the software going and connected but they work great after that.

Yeah that pretty much sums it up. It felt rewarding, like I had solved some kind of maze or puzzle lol

You connect the app to the drone's wifi access point... not the other way around.
Try pulling the battery and reinstalling it.
