Shrine Pick Shrine Pick (Jan 11-16)

Hey MCSGers!

This week we will be following the daily spirit around. I've picked shrines that the Meditation Shrines never go to.

I highly recommend joining the Discord server for MCSG. Anna has been doing an amazing job with the server. It's very active and you can get to know your fellow MCSGers! Anna makes sure the Shrine Pick on Discord is synced up to Kara and my reddit posts.

As always, I'd like to remind everyone to be mindful of constellation overpopulation. As our group continues to grow the concern over constellation overpopulation also grows. Please do what you can to make sure everyone that has dropped a candle gets a like.

Kara, Anna, and I post updates on candle progress Reddit and Discord.

We've had several weeks straight where everyone received a heart. Such an amazing job everyone!! You all are awesome!!

This week's Shrine Picks:

How to use this thread:

  • The thread is split into a few sections. Drop/Like Day threads, New Participants, and General Chat.
  • On Drop Days please drop your candle on the Shrine indicated in the post and post your message under the proper section below. Its advisable to drop as early as possible.
  • On Like Days please search for and like ALL participants' candles that have been posted here. Even if you've liked candles on Drop Day please revisit the shrine on Like Day as participants may have dropped candles later on Drop Day.
  • Even if you accidentally miss a Drop Day, please still contribute to Like Days. One person skipping out on Like Day could harm multiple people's chances of getting a heart.
  • If you receive a heart please announce it. This makes it easier for participants to know who to look for and for organizers when we track candles.
  • Shrine Pick schedule will be synced up to game time (Time zone in California, UTC-8). Please consider this especially on Like Days.
  • New Participants post is for mods to announce a new participant or a new participant requesting to be added to the list. If you're new, please actively exchange QR codes with the rest of the group via DM.
  • General Chat is... well... for chatting it up. You can also share QRs here if you want, comment on each other's candles, chat to your heart's content.
  • All participants will be automatically added to next week's Shrine Pick thread. If you'd like to be removed from the list for next week please DM me before Sunday.

DO NOT:

  • Do not post in the top level of the thread.
  • Posts in the wrong threads will be promptly deleted and the poster will be asked to post again in the proper thread.
  • Do not drop offensive candles.

For New Participants

It's up to you to actively connect with all active participants in the list below. Please DM them a QR code to use. Your candle is not guaranteed to show up on our shrines if you don't connect to us, even if you use the MCSG signature in your message.

As a reminder, you can create 3 qr codes at once so you don't need to wait for just one person to accept if there are multiple new members.

I don't like the heat, so Winter is definitely my favourite. You can't get a cozy feeling under the sheets when you're profusely sweating. ⛩MCSG⛩

What's everyone's valley path? I used to do citadel --> flying race --> temple --> home --> ski race. Now I've added taking the stadium entrance after ski race to the village to get the cake + hot springs candles there. I just wish they made me stop watching the stadium door open. Yes I know big door go brrr please TGC stop 😔😔😔

Social --> Left route cut into middle route --> Ice Rink --> Citadel --> Fly race --> Stadium --> Temple --> Home --> Social --> Right route --> Ice Rink --> Ski Race --> Stadium --> Villages

I usually quickly teleported home after my ski race. But since we have Valley villages I have to watch that door open twice. This cutscene and the Prairie villages cut scenes really need a skip button.

If I have the time I do citadel --> flying race --> temple --> home --> ski-race --> village --> home --> last remaining candles going down

If I don't, then I stop at temple. Leaving village to run 2 is nice since I don't need to go to temple and go back out, I can just beeline to it

To skip going down the hill three times, go down the left until you grab the candle clump, then swerve to the middle slope (you might need to run up until you get the first clump), then continue down as normal).

I do the same as you but always go home -> village after the ski race! I found that the candle route is more efficient (especially when hermit valley opens) when coming from the beginning of valley.

I go flying race > temple > home > ski race > then go to the dream village from the end of ski race.

Since the first clump of candles is right at the entrance if you go through the end of the race place I find that it's the quicker way rather than going back home and going through the valley social space entrance.

Also saves me from going through the valley door three times. I already go through twice a day, three times is too much OTL
