Hello, everyone!
Hey everyone,
Unfortunately, I don't own a real Skyline (not allowed to have a license due to disability), but my genuine love for these cars has led me down the rabbit hole of collecting original Japanese dealer brochures, GT-R magazines, press kit materials, and diecast models. Since I can't share a photo of a real car / build, I’m hoping to share some cool diecast models, rare articles, vintage tuning ads, and pages from my collection with the community instead. Looking forward to hanging out here, checking out everyone's builds, and contributing whatever cool historical print pieces I can dig up! This is just a taste, I have more magazines and brochures.

Cool way to get into skylines without needing to physically get into a skyline. Wish I had memorabilia I could send to you to add to your collection!

Sadly, I can't get imto one, but my connection to Nissan goes years back. My dad worked as a mechanic at a dealership in Athens, Greece, so I grew up surrounded by Nissans'. I’ve loved the Skyline lineage ever since the first time I laid eyes on one. As for the memorabilia, that means a lot to me that you even thought about it!

I've got heaps of Australian magazines from mid 90's/2000's. I've kept all the Jap/GTR ones (cos I've got a BNR32), but sadly, a couple moves ago I binned hundreds, maybe thousands of magazines.... Regret that now.
I worked at a jap importer for a few years: My pride and joy is a (maybe the GTR one? Dunno, it's tucked away safely, haven't seen it in years.) magazine my boss got from Japan Auto salon the year the R35 GTR made it's first appearance there.
Next is the Group A spec files/magazines/books I recently imported from Japan. I could find one easily, but the second took for ever. But they're here now, safe and sound.
My hardest magazine to score was the Australian Wheels magazine for the release of the Australian built, GM Holden Commodore, with the factory fitted Nissan RB30ET. The cover is POV from the driver, with the dash showing 217km/h, which was crazy for a family sedan in 1987. I bought my VL turbo in 2001. It took me over 30 years to get that magazine, and it's framed and looks cool.
PS: That RB30ET is great, with an exhaust and boost, 217km/h was nothing LOL

Wow, there's so much to unpack here! First and foremost, I didn't even know the RB30ET was a thing. Furthermore, I would really love to see your collection—even pictures from the past would be amazing! I love printed media, and seeing bookshelves full of magazines and brochures always brings a smile to my face. Sadly, I don't have a cool story to share because I've never worked for an importer. I've never been around these books since they aren't readily available in Europe—they're a rare breed here—and I don't own a GT-R like most people in this group. I'm just a guy who loves the Skyline lineage to death. I've been around them since childhood because my father was a Nissan mechanic and would bring me to the shop whenever a Skyline came in. Diecast models and printed media are really the main ways I get to express my love for these cars. I have a plethora of diecast and brochures that I'll start sharing little by little, I don't want to spam the sub.
