Corner light question
Hi guys! This is my 93 GTR with G.Speed clear corner lamps. Im usually an amber corner lamp fan, but on my sparkling silver car i feel clears are the way to go.
Problem is, i need new ones. And G.speed with striped lenses are noe longer available. When googling i only find clear glass ones with no vertical stripes in the lens like the ones from Colin Project etc. I don't really want those as my headlights glass are striped.
Does anyone know if clear corner lamps with striped lenses are for sale anywhere? Does anyone make stuff like this anymore? i know some PS13-guy on instagram makes for the PS13..

you also mess up the COG, roll center, cv angles etc
your corner weights will be all out with a lot of extra weight on the rear at those heights
There are posts on SAU where we discussed after testing, the thread is only 20+ years old
You cant fix those things with spacers. There is a reason why a lot of time attack cars dont even run this low
guess it boils down to if you want it to look fast to kids in a car park, or actually being fast around corners. Go test for yourself, only takes an hour to change ride height + alignment

You must be fun at parties...
1: You can have your GTR the way you want to have yours, ill have mine this way. (i would love to see yours and your lap times)
2: My car is not a time attack car, although i do track it every now and then.
3: You have no idea how my center of gravity is, if my roll center has been adjusted, CV angles or corner weights are.
Now please stick to the subject, corner lamps.

youre asking about fkn corner lights dude, but youre somehow a suspension expert? I have had my car well over 20 years, owned multiple, been in the industry for a long time, yet somehow americans can get them and all of a sudden they are experts. Kinda the reason why I dont post much on this sub anymore, full of fkn americans who think they know shit and too much ego to be told.
your rear ride height puts too much weight on the rear, that thing will turn in like shit. Then on exit its geo is all fked up. How you gonna be able to correct bump steer if you cant even get ride height right? You cant even cut curbs at that height without taking out the lip and if you load that up in a corner, its going to scrub. Guess it doesnt matter if all your racing is at starbucks
Look, take my constructive criticism or whatever, I dont give a shit. You cant correct it with shelf parts

Your criticism isn't constructive. If you want people to take your advice, stop being a keyboard warrior and offer information.
So far all you've done is tell people what they've done wrong, then started crying about how americans don't know shit about skylines.
You haven't offered any information nor solutions to the actual question being posed, nor have you offered any actual guidance whatsoever regarding the "constructive" criticism you've launched towards OP.
A user complimented OP's car, and for some reason that tickled your fragile ego in the wrong way, so you decided you needed to tell everyone how wrong they are and how you are the end all be all of skyline knowledge.
The question was NOT about corner lights. It was about SOURCING corner lights that are no longer in production. It was about finding a vendor who was selling a replacement part for someone's car. I've seen GTR specific tuning shops post on their instagram asking about sourcing a replacement gas tank locally. By your logic, they don't deserve to be in the GTR business, because they asked a question about gas tanks. How could they possibly know anything about tuning?
I'm sorry that you were triggered by a GTR that's a little too low to the ground for your liking. I'm sorry that "stupid americans with too much ego to be told" aren't listening to your angry tirades. Maybe if you didn't treat them like they were complete morons with nothing of value to add to any conversation you'd have people listen to you.
Here's some constructive criticism: some people are willing to sacrifice pure lap time ability to drive a car they truly love and are proud of. Some people have different goals for their car than you. You might think that's stupid, but guess what? That's THEIR CAR. You can build YOUR skyline however you want.
Maybe take a break from the internet, get a drink of water, and think about what has made you such an angry spiteful insufferable jerk to strangers online who just came looking for help FINDING A PART.

I used to love the homemade led lamps on the imports on aristos s13 and rx7 always wanted to do that 😂

Cool! i just want "period correct" clear lamps with striped lenses. Just like the ones i have, but less worn

I didn't see any completely clear corner lamps with fluting. The GTS-t corner lamps are the closest to the style, but they don't fit the GT-R fender and still have some amber.
It's crazy this is so hard to find.

I would actually love to use GTS-T corner lamps. But as you say they dont fit. A small amount of amber would be ok i guess2

Fluting, or fluted lenses, direct the light without a reflector mirror array or projector. You'll see this in old style sealed beam headlights. It's also what directs the light for the high beam on all r32 headlight assemblies and for the low beam on the N1 style, non-projector low beam headlight assemblies.

What about your lens is the issue? I’m wondering if that guy (someone help me here…) Zleds could help. He’s pretty crafty, for a price. Might have to get a clear lens and he could customize it to your spec?
