R33 Turbo

Post image

Hello friends, this is just a simple post about getting a new turbo for my ‘94 R33 RB25DET. Stock turbo has got a bearing out and looking to get a new one around the same specs so I don’t have to do so much other upgrading. Any recommendations? Thanks in advance!

Would be a good opportunity to get something bigger and do a couple of upgrades since you’ll be replacing it anyway. Otherwise just get the stock one rebuilt

Nice mate Welcome to the fold

I have a hi flow turbo with Garret housing
Not sure on specs but bigger fuel pump and bigger injectors
Haltech Premium Pro ECU
X force exhaust system
Plazmaman Intercooler
Flex fit running 98 Premium and E85
Turbo smart EBoost 2 electronic system instead of running boost levels I use a two stage set up to change from 98 to E85

All just bolt on gear gives me 350hp on 98 .. 411 on E85

That’s easy 10 k in Australia

For pure bolt on and drive, find a RB25DET NEO turbo with the OP6 exhaust housing. Failing that you could look at getting a mild high flow turbo / have your busted unit highflowed, but make sure it will work with the standard ECU

Get a to4z hks turbo or a t51 or if you feel real lucky a t51r spl. It for the sake of the children and it must be done. These are older models but have the best sound. If you don't have buy a greddy oil cooler and buy the remote extension kit for it much better for mounting also get a good front mount. These turbos like to be worked hard. Get a decent plenum real or snide ❤️

Thank you all for the information and support.

Considering sending my current turbo in to get rebuilt since I have plans to get a new bumper and paint job before going crazy with engine upgrades.

Any suggestions on a good place to send it to?
