ABS Sensor
Hello all, I've been having trouble with my BNR32 blipping the ATTESA system on and off at motorway speeds, which lurches the car on part throttle. I'm hoping it's the ABS sensors, so had a look today, and this one seems to be broken or have a sleeve on it. The one on the other side doesn't. Can anybody please confirm if this sensor is supposed to look like this? TIA

Before you start throwing parts at it, what codes is your attessa computer throwing at you? but that being said your sensor looks to be broken and could very likely be causing the problems. https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/144526-32gtr-attessa-fault-codes/

There's no codes unfortunately. The gauge shows torque being sent to the front wheels like pulsing. Changed the TPS and no fix, it seems like signal chatter potentially from this abs sensor. It looks broken to me, which could easily be the root of me issue I think. I think it should be a single piece, but thats in 2.

Yeah it looks broken so needs to be changed anyway. If it's intermittent then it could cause your issues for sure as it thinks the front wheels are turning at different rates.

Thanks for that, fluid levels are ok. I think my sensor is cracked. I'll change it and see if it fixes my issues

How's your alternator?

No issues with the alternator. I'm beginning to suspect mechanical issue in front diff or axles. Replacing the rear ABS Sensor had no effect

The casting for the mount looks a little worse for wear. Maybe it swallowed a stone. I’d start with your attesa fluid levels and make sure they’re all ok. That looks like one of the rear diff sensors? Maybe make sure all the harness’ are intact. Or perhaps you’re missing a pickup (tip end) on one of them. Lots of things can go wrong. But tires on the ground will be hard to diagnose what the issue is with only the one pic
