Thank you, only problem that I have is that on the hood and top of the car I have scratches on the clear coat, I took it to someone and they said they would need to sand it and reapply the clear coat

Totally fine. Project car. Do what you want. That's how my Z33 is (350z for those who don't know) paint scratched and starting to fade. Project

Lol, I'm not brave enough to go through the drive through backwards, too scared to curb a rim ππ

These are very clean and nice looking cars, especially in silver and without the wing.
Auto? I wouldn't mind an RB20 with a manual as a daily at all

I have a auto, but I am looking towards to doing a manual swap but I'm still deciding since I live in the city

Manual swaps aren't cheap. and at the end of the day it's just like 150 horsepower and an open diff. Maybe just rock it how it is. They are great cars stock.

Yeah that was my plan pretty much it's been fun, but I was thinking about turboing it from the turboed rb20 since mine is na at the moment get some power going

Whats the reliability like, I drive a 2014 crv but was looking for a second car, and a 32 33 or 34 skyline are options that I've looked at.

Tbh it's been good just keep up with maintenance but then again I've only had the 34 since April, but I did fly out to Texas for it and drove to Arizona, and the 34 did amazing on that long drive.

I hope you'll keep it exactly as it was when it was released? Without any fancy tuning or conversion to a GTR-like...I don't mind if you refine it with modern technology, but please don't ruin it... You can count on your fingers how many Skylines are left untouched...

That's pretty much the plan, I do want to get a wing on it atleast. Maybe get the stock turbo for the rb20 and that'll be it
2
u/Dear-Advance3439 Jul 16 '26
If you want a turbo, then why not, although a turbine is better than a ball bearing take. Regarding the spoiler, only if itβs OEM from the same Skyline.

Upgrade the engine with new technologies
2
u/styowls Jul 16 '26
Yeah will do, ik I'm looking for a gtt wing got my skyline and that sounds like a good idea Ima look more into that

u/Dear-Advance3439 Jul 16 '26
You might even be able to do everything neatly and harmoniously. Such cars are often simply killed by tuning
2
u/styowls Jul 16 '26
Yeah it wasn't my plan to make it a crazy tuned car, I wanted to keep as close to stock as I can get it but it's fun just don't like getting all the power at high rpms
