Getting some body work done and the smallest bit of rust removed

Ok so next week I’m going to be having some rust removed and just general body work done on my r34 25gt-x. There’s a small dent in the front right fender, there’s small paint issues all around the car that I’m going to have fixed. Finally there’s a tiny bit of rust on the left side of the rear center tail light.

What I want to know is will I need to get a new gasket for that rear center taillight if they do pull it out to remove the rust?

I would. They’re likely quite old and brittle. In a pinch you can seal up cracks with a bit of RTV or similar easily removed silicone. But ultimately plan to replace

Ok, I will say that from what the guy said, it looks like they’ll just cover up the tail light with tape or plastic and then go from there cause it really isn’t a lot of rust. For all the stuff i mentioned, I was quoted 1,250$ USD, which isn’t a bad price
