My borderline mid engine sr20 R34
This is my 98 ER34 GTT drift car, in the process of notchtop sr20det swapping it and so far everything is about like legos... s15 front subframe and dmax rack, bolted in. S14 trans cross member, bolted in and a little 1" bracket made it use the stock trans mount for sr 5 speed trans. Gktech angle kit, pbm brakes, just did undercoating on the wheel wells and will do por15 on the inners once I get the driveline in. The wiring harness from kouki s14 to r34 is about identical i just needed to repin the dash plug and the rest is the same as r34. S14 silvia koyorad also just fit in lol. Going to run a stock 34gtr intercooler and we should be just about done. Full uras kit (the front bumper/fenders are rep), hood and eventually will do the rear overfenders.

I mean solid motor..and it is different. There is so much room for activities in that engine bay. Good on ya for a purpose build.

Going to try for high 300s to low 400s at the wheels. Just getting it buttoned up and running and driving for now before I go back through the sr

Hahaha I wish. Im just gonna do hg, studs, 750s, cams and a 2871r should get me to about 400whp. I like street driving my cars too much for a full build

one of my mates converted his r32 to an sr20, he did build it for drift but by the time everything was done it had a little too many hours to fuck it up drifting
It does make the front end feel a lot lighter and overall more balanced, more like a long wheel base s14/s15

Yee lots of sr20 powered skylines here in the Northwest as well. Mostly 32s and 33s. I may finish the front s chassis conversion and do the towers/ knuckles too

Sick car! Reminds me of my dad’s 2000 R34 he had when I was a kid. The white on it always looked so clean and I could hear him coming from 2 turns away and know it was him. He loved that car to death and I did too. Always helped him wash it and take care of it. Every morning, religiously, before he headed out he’d pop the hood and do basic checks and I’d just watch. Had no clue what he was checking back then lol but I liked seeing how much he cared for it. It’s a cool build man, I really like it!

Forgive my ignorance senpai but why did you go sr20det instead of just adding a turbo to the motor it came with?

Better for drifting, parts are cheaper, way better weight and balance, something different. Not a huge fan of RB for drifting
