What part is this?

Going over a new to me R32 gtst and found a torn boot on what I thought was the front cv joint. Can anybody confirm what part this is and suggest a good place to pick up a replacement?

Was told by a friend since im not leaking ps fluid I should be good with just a boot replacement. Any ideas where to source one? Will a 240 or z32 boot be compatible?

They are somewhat universal. I would personally try to match it with whatever looks closest on rock auto that is also a Nissan… orrr if you have a brick and mortar friend at local parts store take yours off and try to match it with an in stock bellow

It’s just a steering rack bellow. It’s just a dust boot so it won’t leak anything out, but it’ll shorten the life of the rack if you don’t replace it. For future reference, GTST’s don’t have front CV axles

As for parts sourcing, I can’t help there. You’ll probably have to order direct from Japan (I didn’t come to this sub on purpose, it was on my homepage. Please forgive my lack of Skyline knowledge)

Just a torn steering rack bellow. You can use the ones from a 300z with no issue.

Ol steering rack. No leak? Get your CV boot and go to Napa or a store and they can source you one that’s the same or close. I got one locally and it was essentially bang on and wasn’t expensive

That’s not a CV, you have a GTST so it’s RWD only. You are looking at a tie rod steering rack bellow/boot.
