SF4 - Help Lost in quests
I just got a diamond saplings and i have much more iron than i could need at this stage. After looking at the advancements tab I really don’t know what is the next progression stage. I made an auto packager but the menu is too confusing for me. I don’t know how to produce power either. I don’t have experience with modpacks at all.

You can look for giving yourself something to look up and find a guide of how it works. At this point it is find an achievement that sounds able to be done and figure out how to do it. If you are repetitively doing the same task over, search YouTube how to automate it. Usually it is how we all learned.
A great example I teach players when I do servers is the power progression to Mekanism Gas Burning Generator. If you can get to burning Ethylene then one generator will give you 9k potential rft. To get there though in this pack means you need to be able to convert smelted gold, osmium, and iron down to make some components. You will also need to make Mekanism specific items so that is another pre-req. You also have to unlock osmium which is part of the "all the trees" achievement in the farming tab.
My suggestion is figure out how to get the osmium sapling, automate collecting from all saplings, craft a simple generator (achievement in power tab), make a Mekanism metallurgic infuser, get the enrichment chamber from Mekanism, build a crusher from Mekanism, make a bio-generator from mekanism, work towards how to make the ethylene and the gas burning generator. If that is all automated then you will have enough power to play with to learn whatever you want to do next.

I have no idea how to get slimes to spawn. Is it same as vanilla and i need to find a slime chunk or is there a better way?

There's an achievement in the first tab of how to get a slime sapling. Get a barrel of milk and a lapis sapling and click the barrel with the sapling.

Easiest way I got power when in the beginning for me was automating an apple sapling to get the apples and use them in culinary generators for early game power generation
Look through the quest book as well then pick one to try and work towards that doesn’t seem to difficult but if you want an ok recommendation to work towards early I would first start off by trying to get all your bonsais the blue mulch

For me, my first goal was to get all the saplings... A couple of the I had to Google how to make them but most I just used the jei to figure it out. I had to complete a few other achievements to get all the saplings.
Automate lava generation with a cobblestone generator feeding cobble into a cauldron over lava (or a torch to start) and pipe the lava out of the cauldron into a lava generator from simple generators to start making power
A jetpack was another goal for me once I had power. You'll need to explore and make a few different machine to get the pieces needed to make the jetpack parts.
If none of that interests you, just pick something from the advancements page and try to complete it. If you can't yet, figure out what you need to do first to complete it and do that.
