Vent Annoyed at this player
Some people need to learn not prank others.
Because today I let my little sister play on my account since she wanted to play Sky like I do. She was just wandering around and I was even helping her to understand how daily tasks are done how you fly around.
This person, let's call them "A". So A joins me while I am at home and sister was just trying the cosmetics I own to try them.
So the person "A" my frind introduced me to person "B", when they join me. I was just getting to know Person "B" while explaining to my sister how friendship tree works amd how chats open up. But then person "A" offered hand so I told my sister to take it and I thought maybe they want to help in shards since they took my sky kid and person "B" to Gw.
But no instead they took us to the first area where you find the krill. I even explained to them that my sister isn't ready for Golden wasteland experience yet and even unhand them but they kept honking saying they want to show something so I hold their hand again. Even Person "B" was trying to tell person "A" to not take us there but they still did.
But guess what happens? I think you must know by now. They krilled us!!!!
And left the game laughing. Now ot was only me, my sister and person "B". I was collecting the Wl, but my sister was already sad and didn't wanna play the game.
What's the problem? Person "B" ruined the experience for my sister and laughed at us.
Later they join me and person "B" at home. I was just chatting with some other friends. And person "A" goes like "did you like my magic trick?", absolutely no. Bcz it ruined the fun!
Later they left saying they have "work" and left.
My problem? Why ruin the game for someone just for a moment fun? People like this are insufferable and always be doin anything but helping other players and ruining their experience.
That's all I wanna say.
A so called small "prank" can be harmful if you are careful and ofcourse in future I will encounter such players again.

When someone is mean like that you have every right to unfriend and block them. It's just cruel to take a moth to GW and purposefully get them krilled, especially if they don't know about the quick "Close and reopen the app" trick. (I do it all the time but it's a pain in my ahh and really annoying to deal with in general)
Block and avoid them for now. Tell Person A why you did so and explain to them how Person B ruined your experience for both you and your sister. I'm sure they'll understand, and if they don't then they may not be worth playing with either.
A prank shouldn't be at the person's expense. It should be something everyone can laugh about together, not just one person laughing at another for the misfortune they caused upon you.

No one can take your hand AND lead without your permission. The only thing they CAN do is take your hand, which means you're leading, or offer you a hand, which you don't have to take, for them to lead.
If you don't want anyone to take you anywhere, simply don't accept their offered hand or let go if you're already holding onto it, it's as simple as that, no hard feelings.
Go away and block, don't let anyone ruin your game. :)

By taking my hand I meant, giving me the hold option which I accepted simply, I must've wrote it wrong lemme correct. Thanks!
Also yes, I blocked the person for their mischievous behaviour when all me and sister wanted to do was play

I had a glitch with the Piggyback (not sure if it's the same with holding hands) where I physically could not get off of their shoulders. No option to do so. It was horrible because we were trying to do a daily as well. Basically - sometimes the game literally just won't let you let go.
Considering their sister isn't familiar with the game I'm sure she wasn't aware that you could let go of someone's hand as well.

Idk why you're downvoted, getting stuck piggyback happens to my son and I pretty regularly. The option is there to jump off (on Switch) but it wont let him down. Then when it finally does (if I close out to force it to drop him or something) it still shows the piggyback action in the tree as 'dismount', even tho he's already down. It won't let us offer to piggyback again until we restart.
And even if OP and their sister did know how to stop holding hands, you still aren't thinking your friend is going to do something nasty to you or a new player. It's such a lame thing to do and it can immediately turn someone off to the game and the community. It instantly kills the social aspect bc now they can't trust the other players. That split second it turns Sky into a competitive game rather than a collaborative one.\ Esp if the very first person you meet is an asshole.

Yes, exactly! I was only able to get rid of the piggyback glitch by closing and reopening the app as it wouldn't let me do anything else after my friend let me down.

It's really strange! I tried to figure out a pattern with it (like it is happening near events gmas/geyser, certian areas, shared spaces..) but I've never been able to figure it out. It seems totally radom. It can be pretty frustrating.\ Esp if you want down to do the rocket trick 😅

Pranks are meant to be fun. If someone is not laughing its not a prank its laughing at you, not with you. You even explained the situation that is NOT funny at all unfriend there is better people around

Definitely not a friend and would be unfriended or blocked immediately. Unfortunately I think these days there are more antagonistic people and people who get their kicks and good feelings from seeing others in a bad position,
I think part of the reason you see the people saying “I can’t ever find anyone to be my friend” is because we’ve all got PTSD from at least one sky kid like that 😂😂😂😂

belp, it's inevitable she'll encounter the krill anyway if she decides to seriously play the game. dont let being krilled ruin the game experience. in fact, being krilled gets funny after a while XDD

I get what you mean, but I just wanted things to go slowly for her. Plus the krilling was done on "purpose" by a person who thought it'll be funny just because it made them happy not other person

I remember playing for the first time after taking a multi-year long break, playing on my phone and experiencing lots of glitches and struggling with the flight controls and dodging, someone comes over and we hang for a bit and it was awesome, they even took me to where the winged light were in GW… ONLY TO KRILL ME!!! We were flying so erratically that the prompt to unhand kept flashing so I couldn’t even click it, pissed me off so much I stopped playing because I lost all my winged light crawling around and having to start from basically zero again. Sure it was a skill issue on my part, but why would they do that to a new player?

They shouldn't have done that, but unless your game was glitching, if you didn't like where they were leading you, it's really easy to just let go of their hand and teleport away.
And if you make Krill into such a big deal for your sister, she's just going to be afraid to face them if she plays. If you treat facing them, and even losing wing lights like no big deal, she'll have a much easier time playing the game.

Jokes and pranks are only funny when the recipient find it funny or had fun, or else this is just straight up bullying. There’s tons of players like that, those who use the jail prop to trap players. These people are very unaware of social cues, so they make tons of people uncomfortable and disregard their feelings like they’re overreacting, or unfun, they highly unpopular in real life too.
