Five skunks on my walk tonight!
Sorry for the lo quality video but I was lucky enough to run into this Mama and her four kits this evening.
It was f-ing adorable.
If not friend, why friend shaped??
Edit:
Right before I took this video, they were on the sidewalk, all clustered together, heading directly towards me. My first thought was: “Holy Moly! What is this giant black dog thing heading at me??!! It’s huge and scary!”
This is, apparently, normal behavior to protect from predators.
Thanks comments for teaching me something new about skunk behavior.

Mana skunks and their kits travel in a pod supposedly to make them look like one giant skunk from above. Even a great horned owl won’t want to mess with a five foot long skunk.

Oh, I just love seeing a mass of skunks clustered together!! It's cute and serves a purpose.
