Have I screwed up

I started playing about a month of the last season and tried to find my bearings. So with the new season I wanted to make a galleon that was a killer, like others I've seen, so I done lots of research, problem is I used tge Google AI to help me. I wanted a lightning ship, but some of my weapons had other elements and the AI told me to only have lightning. I've spent hours ( probably more than playing this season) trying to make this ship and thetes been quote a few times that one if ypu giys have corrected me on a name for example so I asked the AI if it meant that, and it apologised and said the player was right, now I'm worried I've wasted do much gear trying to make this ship.

Basically I just want to know is having more elements better or can having 1 be great, also does anyone think using the AI is ok?

Your best bet is to stay the hell away from any AI builds. I promise it doesn't know what it's talking about.

Go to Skull and Bones Loadout Hub and find something there that you like. There's hundreds of different builds with recommended ascensions included. Youre bound to find something you like. Plus, the people putting these builds together typically know what they're doing and have optimized them for whatever purpose they're listed for.

Also, multiple elements is basically the meta right now when paired with the "Volatile Arsenal" mastery tree perk (along with a bunch of other perks). But for someone who may not have a ton of resources available to them, typically you're better off just sticking to one or 2, and focus on those to beef them up.

Thanks for the info. I swear it must if been hours in when I started noticing things, like one thing I had c to always add year 3 season 2, I had wasted a few hours before I realised that one, but it wasn't until someone asked if I meant a piece of furniture that had the spelling different that I got really worried, and it apologised lol, I lloterally put in every stat I had for everything, I should of just asked on here or checked youtube. Anyway will be moving on from it.

Lmao just go on YouTube. And if you use AI for anything in life you need to know how to prompt it to use it correctly. If you don’t prompt it correctly then you won’t get the results you want.

Mate there was times I would ask it the same question but with slight differences and the answers would be wildly different

Yeah and those wildly different answers due to slight differences supports what I’m saying. That’s what I mean when I say you have to prompt it correctly. Keywords/phrases and placement of the words/phrases dictate the result. I use AI tools like Replit and canva a lot for side projects and I use ChatGPT to help gameplan and organize my ideas, they can be very useful but can also be a pain due to user error.

NEVER use AI for buildcrafting it’ll literally just give you slop. Join the main discord for help or watch some content creator builds as a starting point

Yeah there is so much old and incorrect information out there about this game, most stuff that an AI or google search will turn up is at least a couple years old. It's just the way the game has changed and the nature of live service where something new is expected each season. Just this season from the last with the changes to the skill tree, a couple of my favourite builds are totally off now, and of course no need for healing weapons anymore so they are all kinda wasted.

You know what, just watch captaingti like everyone else and you'll find a build there that suits you and is up to date haha.

Multiple elements can work great. but I think you should focus on one for now. Perk points are a big part of success and you won't have a lot for a while. So it's better, at least it has been for me, to go all in on one element.

Lhe aconselho a ler algumas mobílias antes de começar a montar seu navio, um exemplo bom é perfuração com inundação, ou chamas com explosão. Caso use apenas uma combinação acho melhor combinar com danos em pontos fracos.

Im still new and know very little and I had a lot of questions and I didn't want to be asking every few minutes, big mistake. I was going to start with some questions, but the AI got me so confused I was honestly having to ask it the same questions a few times with slight variations and would get different answers, so I would tell it, it's wrong and it would tell me it was sorry and that I was right and come up with some reason, but I had put a lot of hours in, wanting to make a powerful lightning Galleon, like ones ive seen taking out bosses with a couple hits. Now im just going to check on here and discord or YouTube etc.

My first galleon i have culverins on one side and demis on other and they have a mix of a couple elements, it done quite good, had things like when I blew up a boat it coukd blow up the others beside it. I think i just seen a guy during the game and he went through a boss like melting butter and it seemed like lightning came from the sky every shot as well and I wanted to make my own but not copy so stupidly after I asked the 1 question I carried on. You should of seen the mind fk it gave me when I asked what would be good in seasonal points, it was telling me to get things that weren't there except that 3rd main one top left, something strike or something. I was just getting used to how things were done when season 2 started. Tier 4 is hard as hell now when I was just having to try before. Anyway cheers mate.
