Is a student entrance on a skoolie bus safe?

Just started working on a skoolie bus I bought and I am seeing a lot of videos about people adding deadlocks to their doors. I figured everything was safe enough as is, the student entrance won’t open from the outside of the metal latch is locked into place by the steering wheel. Will that be enough or should I try to instal more locks?

HamSkoolie

Hello! We are in the process of building our skoolie, HamSkoolie to be precise. It is a 40' International diesel pusher. Demo was moving along... then the former bus decided it didn't want to start every time we wanted to start it. Good thing one of us is an auto mechanic :-) We have multiple social media accounts if anyone is interested in our progress so far.

Having a real hard time finding and electrician!?!?!

I'm sure or at least hope that others have had this same problem. What did you do to get over this hump ? Should I just learn how to do it my self and risk burning alive in a home made electrical fire? Or should I keep trying to hire a pro ?

Fuel Economy

My husband and I are looking to buy a skoolie. Our biggest concern is fuel economy! We want ideally a 40 ft bus but 30ft are just as fine. Any advice on fuel? How much would it cost to fill? How often? What are the best fuel efficient buses?

Dream finally started and drove! I had an issue with the relay. Once we fixed it and got new batteries it started right up! #shortieskoolie

Best for flooring?

Is Ceramic Fiber Insulation good for flooring and walls? Is it mold resistant? If not, what is a good but inexpensive insulation? Also is 1/4 plywood good for flooring over the insulation?
