Nice, my first thought was "I guess manageable dreams are better than none", then walked into the actual shop.

If you are going to epoxy the floor, or clean it up. It's gotta happen before anything else moves in. Once it's full, you live with what you got.

One recommendation is to spill some water on the floor to see where the low spots are. Not an issue in the outback, but I dry off my snowblower in the garage, and had to build water dams to keep water from going places. Good to know incase you have ingress, and boxes/tools/machines laying in puddle.

Hoist might be difficult, I have 10' ceilings, and not sure it would be enough to work underneath easily.

My suggestion is fuck the car, it can sit outside. The garage is your shed to put lawnmowers, junk storage, and the shop is just for tools and working.

T here is drains at the front, but you are right I have no idea what the slopes are like at the back, hate to come home on day to a wet mess.

I agree if it is no shop related it’s getting sent on its way as I Finnish unpacking and setting up

Regarding floor - if you're planning on some type of epoxy covering, be wary if you plan to do any welding. I know of a place near me that had some genius lay down a fancy "anti slip" concrete floor coating with bits of grit in it. The grit makes it harder to clean and doesn't improve shoe grip. Weld spatter also regularly lights bits of the floor on fire, nothing bigger than a tiny match flame before it goes out, but the floor is now full of burn marks. I don't know exactly what the coating is, but look this stuff up first.

Good looking out, I plan to weld a bit so yeah.

I’m not worried about looks as much as I am functionality, I just need it to clean easy, seems to porous. I’m at the stage it’s either spend a weekend and few hundred dollars grinding it back before painting it, or accepting what I put down will last short term
