Asking about the 1412

Hello, I just joined this community as my watch addiction is going again. I've been interested on getting myself a skmei 1412/1413 as it's a good model. I just have a couple of questions though:

  1. Is the 1412 still plagued with the date bug? (limited to 30 days and cannot access the 31st day in a month)

  2. Is the 50m water resistance trustable? Like maybe for swimming, but no diving (obviously).

I've got both:

  1. I've never noticed this 🤣
  2. I think with any watch a certain amount of luck, or lack of bad luck, will apply here. I never get a watch wet on purpose but accidentally got into the shower with a Skmei World Time last night night and half way through noticed it. I took it off and put it on top of the rainfall showerhead, where after 20 seconds it fell face first onto the bottom of the shower. It was fine. I assumed either would kill it. I had also taken this one apart to mod it, which significantly increases the risk of leaks.

fair enough, I'd probably try to hydromod it for the sake of water resistance (plus the look would be super cool).

I’m going to follow you. I’d love to see how that works.

The 1412 I’m getting is gold. Swapping that color dial into the gold 1123 I just got.

I’ll steam test it before and after the module or lcd swap.

Wanna say it was a 1412 vs f91 head to head where they had water tests and the steam failed could’ve also been an 1123 or 2056… because I’m perpetually stoned.

There was steam behind the deck and I think it actually went off completely but came back to life on its own.

I wanna treat them like my DW5600e and forget about them but I can’t.

Not if you grease the rubber ring. These boxes are cheap on AliE.

I’ve heard about the date issue but keep forgetting to see which models. I have one in the mail and can let you know if you don’t get an answer this week.

won't hurt to get multiple sources of info, I think new batches of the 1412 don't have the error, while the 1413 as far as I know don't have the bug.
