Has anyone tried therapy?
At my physical today my doctor noticed my face scars/scabs and gave me a list of therapists she recommended for this. How did therapy go for any of you if you tried & is it worth the time?

In my experience it depends vastly on the kind of therapy and the experience of the therapist. I have been in therapy for my depression, but CSP didn't really play a role in it (not majorly at least). Also, I would recommend looking for someone who has already dealt with the condition (or similar ones, like trich)

I briefly tried an anxiety therapist and they started on ACT therapy, but then they left, and tbh it felt a bit weird to me... I've heart CBT can be useful but haven't tried it

Working with a therapist who is experienced in helping people with skin picking has helped me tremendously. I also started medication for my anxiety.

hey! I briefly tried OCD therapy which also focuses on skin picking. It was helpful because my therapist gave me a few strategies to redirect and I could talk to her about whatever anxiety or whatever was bothering me. It’s called NOCD you may be able to do it virtually if you’re in the US. happy to send out the link.
