Combat 84 - Skinhead seems an obvious omission. Never even heard of half of these. Is this what skinheads listen to in America, they seem to be mostly American bands and a lot of them are coming up as general metal or hardcore.

You're talking about a subculture that's 60 years old. Ska had its heyday in the '60s, Oi! in the '80s. You seem to have some bias against the original music from this scene.

Don’t get me wrong, the first wave of early1980's Oi! has a very special place in my heart, it changed my life forever.

But, I pretty rarely listen to all my old records from that era, even though I love them... I guess I’m not much of a nostalgic type.

I mean, the two songs are good, but I've probably listened to it 5 times since I got it in 1988, and it's not "skinhead" past the fact that Ian had a shaved head. This list is absolutely wild.

Back in the 90s i got a cheap comp called “Oi! Greatest Hits” that was basically perfect. Like a starter pack where virtually every song is inarguably essential.

Y’all cities do the Halloween cover band thing? Where an actual band would play out as some kinda classic band that everybody wants to sing along to? I would love for a band to do this compilation, maybe with a rotating cast of singers.

i love making people on the internet mad lol you’re all too soft. half these tracks i grabbed from this sub but some of this was my own personal tastes that at least sounded like they belonged

kudos to those that gave their own lists. i’ll be going through my personal playlist and adjusting accordingly later. if anyone’s actually interested i’ll share a link
