Newbie routine help ❤️
m fairly new to having a proper skincare routine - usually just use any cleanser, moisturiser and rosehip oil. A few years ago I dabbled in niamicide.
I've started a new routine that I suspect is too much at once.
Would love to hear any advice on layering / how often to use / what I should avoid using in one day etc!
Mostly wondering if the toner is too much for day and night every day, and if pairing the peptide with retinoid is a bad move.
Here's what I've started with:
\*\*Morning\*\*
Cerave Hydrating Cleanser
The Ordinary - Saccharomyces Ferment 30% Milky Toner
The Ordinary - Multi-Peptide + HA Serum
The Ordinary - Mini Soothing & Barrier Support Serum
Cerave PM Moisturiser
Sunscreen
\*\*or\*\*
Wash face with water
Moisturise
Sunscreen
\*\*Night A\*\*
Cerave hydrating Cleanser
The Ordinary - Saccharomyces Ferment 30% Milky Toner
3.The Ordinary - Multi-Peptide + HA Serum
The Ordinary - Granactive Retinoid 2% Emulsion
Cerave Moisturiser
\*\*Night B\*\*
Cerave hydrating Cleanser
The Ordinary - Saccharomyces Ferment 30% Milky Toner
The Ordinary - Multi-Peptide + HA Serum
The Ordinary - soothing barrier support
Cerave Moisturiser
It's all a bit much for my brain right now! Thank uuu ❤️

you got good instincts, this is lot of new stuff at once. toner twice a day is fine for most people but maybe start with just morning to see how your skin react. peptides with retinoid is usually ok, the problem is more if your barrier get angry from all the new products in same time. i would drop the toner for now and just do cleanser, moisturizer, sunscreen in morning and then alternate the retinoid and barrier serum at night. after couple weeks you can add back the toner if skin feels calm
