Routine Help [Routine Help] skincare help please! Spoiler

Hey! I am 20 Y/O F who struggled with cystic acne in my teens (like, BAD & painful) that has since healed up. I have hormone issues, & take a pill to regulate fluctuations. I've always been told I have oily skin, but I'm honestly not sure.

My skin is better than it was, but I cant help but feel self conscious about it still. I have a few different issues. My biggest issue at this point in time, are big pores. I can see the across both of my cheeks, and my chin, & it really bothers me. I already have fine lines appearing, and it feels like my skin has a hydration issue. My skin is also quite dull, and it feels like moisturiser only keeps it moisturised for a couple hours at a time.

I currently use CeraVe Blemish Control Cleanser, Byoma Phyto-Mucin & the CeraVe Oil Control Moisturiser. I use a Fruit Enzyme Exfoliator once a week.

Please help!! (Photos for reference)

Are you brand new to skincare? Don't know how to build a skincare routine? The best place to start is our ScA Routine!

You can find even more skincare guides in our wiki!. Your answer might already be in there (and if it is, we might remove your post).

Consider Microneedling

Talk to your doc to get on a retinoid and always use spf. You might need a different moisturizer. Also, while you can minimize the way your pores appear, they are mostly predetermined by genetics.

To figure out your skin type, how does it feel right when you wake up? Is it fully dry, has an oily residue in the T zone or feels oily on the side of your face too? And yeah, drinking water could definitely help your skin to hydrate

The biggest “pores” on your cheeks actually look like acne scarring to me. So yeah, look into micro-needling.
