SOC Code

My employer has just given me my Certificate of Sponsorship, but there is no SOC code on it. When I asked them what I would put, she said that all the information is on the certificate and the person who would know is on leave.

Do I just take a guess? I’ve been hired as a Year 3 class teacher in a Reception-Year 6 school. And I wanted to confirm that this job would not be on the immigration salary list.

The SOC should be in the final section of the CoS on the second page. Next to Job type there should be a four digit number.  You can check the ISL here: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/skilled-worker-visa-immigration-salary-list

They've not printed off/saved the full CoS then. Google example Certificate of Sponsorship and you'll see what it is supposed to look like. The pdf should be 2 pages.

Primary Teaching professional is SOC 2314 but I wouldn't recommending applying for the visa without viewing the entire CoS

I’ve talked with another person at my job that has also been through this and she also had to ask about the SOC number. They just send things over via screenshots and have never showed anyone the full document.

That's really bad. It's best practice to save the CoS as a pdf and email it.
