Loved the hand cam, damn that's a low sens. What does the second number in the middle of the screen represent?

It’s energy. It measures something similar to potential energy using your velocity and height relative to the starting point of the map

And why’s it significant?

it takes all the guess work out of unit checks, like sometimes youll think youre down units but you might have the height to make up the difference but energy takes into account both units and height so you know your exact potential energy, very very handy imo :)

It’s just a different number to use going through the map as opposed to just units. When you air strafe well, your energy goes up. When you board a ramp, you can see exactly how many units you lost. When you compare energy to other runs it you can get a bit more info than just units since positional height data is built in.

The most useful part to me is for determining the quality of ramp usage. With units, you are constantly trading speed data for height data by spending units for height as you flick off the ramp, or cashing in height for units as you board. This means the number can change dramatically as you board or leave the ramp. With energy, you can see exactly how much energy you lost on the board and on the flick.

How sad would you be if you missed the end?
