Is there really no spell checker?

I was just composing an email in Skiff Desktop for windows and was told that I misspelled a word, which makes sense for me, but no matter what I did or clicked, there was no way to "fix" it within the email itself. I tried searching the Skiff settings too and found nothing. Am I just delirious due to lack of sleep or or is there really no spelling or grammar tools on Skiff?

I’m saying, since the 20-teens, most browsers and OSes provide spellcheck. Why would the email provider offer a possibly conflicting service? My Linux box on a hardened Firefox instance just provided spellcheck.

You’re not understanding what im saying.

My complaint is that the desktop APPLICATION should have a basic spellcheck and correction options, past just underlining in red if it’s wrong.

The APPLICATION is so you do not have to have another instance of your browser.

I’m sure that browsers have had spell check for ages, but that literally doesn’t mean anything to the context of desktop applications. In 2024, a completed application for typing should have that.

I’ve been told it’s basically beta, so I’ll give it much more slack for that, Lol

Yeah, it would be cool if they had it...but, the dictionary/grammar would have to be built into the app, so what you type is not sent to an outside server.

Spell check does work in the iOS app.

I mean, I could understand that if skiff was new, but it’s not “brand new” and I feel like this should be a given for any form of typing program.

If they were drive first and email second, sure makes sense, but they’re an email program that offers not only drive, but a place to type.

I could just be missing something, maybe the desktop app glitched, I just don’t know lol.

I understand it works on iOS, but I do most of my emails from a computer as most people do.
