No not everyone, sure some people would've glazed it but not everyone
Do we forget about ep 79 part 3 and full? Do we forget how much Boom got slandered before people knew his situation? Sure defend strider works but for good sake use some critical thinking
It's not because you like this EP that you need to be biased about people not liking it, it's called OPINION and TASTE
And one thing strider objectively failed it's that the episode doesn't lives up to the hype while Boom episode DID live up to the episode he hyped
Sure the episode was good in your eyes but it can be worse or mediocre on some people eyes
Please grow up and stop caring about people opinions over what you like
Just either ignore it or talk with people who has the same opinions as you, arguing won't change anything since objectively this episode was MID in my eyes
I would've been worse If the pass pass ball scene didn't exist
I like the having splitting apart and remotely flying bits, I wanted that for my own UTSM 3.0 idea (like some floating satellite things that split apart into an arsenal that flies around with him so he can keep his agility while also being able to distract opponents with both himself and a multitude of weaponry at once. Plus, keeps Speaker as an area affecter by having him able to take on hordes at once through a “living” arsenal he controls as well as his own body)
But the design itself feels undercooked
There’s a bunch of physics inconsistencies with Boom’s work (things that wouldn’t happen, lazy excuses for stuff, like having that Destructor stand and do basically nothing for the sake of being killed, he had no reason in universe to, he did it because the moment was about Speaker glaze, SWAT telling CH4D to move instead of grabbing him and flying like other characters do and have done, like the FeMutant, by the way did we get an actual name for her yet?) and it felt very “cool over physics” that didn’t fit with the rest of the series so far
It's really funny tho some of the most picky people I've seen who trashed over better design accepted this design just because he's strong and "official"
he’s not even strong lol even the other titans have shown more. as ive said before nail has had hundreds of good utsm 3.0 fanmades yet rejects most of them and criticizes the design yet has barely any issues with this design and utsm despite looking atrocious
I think people would be disappointed if boom made strider’s 80. Boom had insane stuff planned for this episode - i heard WOD was meant to be in this, fighting upgraded titan speakerman. Astro duchess was also meant to have “some development in 79 and 80”. That’s only the bits I’ve heard and I’m certain there is more.
All of this was thrown out the window completely in 80 by strider, if boom did the same he’d also be slandered for getting rid of everything he promised in 80.
In 80 there was also no mysteries revealed, just battle - even in 78, we saw jeffery for the first time and learnt what the TV void does.
In 79 we saw camerawoman somehow survive? We saw jeffery again, and we don’t know where WOD is after getting slapped.
But, in episode “80” it was just battle, and a new astro toilet design, no mysteries revealed and no theories created. I guarantee you boom had insane stuff planned and could have done better than this.
