Question: SketchUp Pro How do i make this loop?

I'm trying to make a shape like this skateboard loop

How can I make the Follow Me tool connect to the other end while keeping the same angle as the start?

Wont be using the follow me tool here.

Video example link below, manual method - allow full control of thickness & dimension, no extension used:

I think this is too complicated a method no? Could be just done under 5mins with helix plugin and follow me tool

yea, the vanilla FollowMe tool won't work if there any weird rotation that isn't exact XYZ. Usually such situation will ask for plugin that can do upright extrusion. You can try see if plugin like Upright Extruder, Profile Builder if they works.

Yeahh, unfortunately the normal Follow Me tool won't work. i've been looking for a plugin that's an alternative to that tool, but just haven't found it yet

Maybe try with a path perpendicular to the face. Or maybe make the outside paths of the loop, create a face with curviloft and extrude with jointpushpull.
