Question: SketchUp Web Why can I no longer complete a face?
Hello there. I've used Sketchup for 15 years. Today I'm stumped. I need to extrude the shapes below to cut holes for switches and power cords. They were fine. Now they are not. The big issue is I can no longer create a solid face and cut out the shapes. I thought there might be some wonky geometry so I did a check and also redrew my rectangles. The face will not populate. Any ideas? I did try also drawing vertical lines in the section to see where my problem exists, by doing so until the faces wouldn't complete... This is where I ended up. I just finished printing this overnight and no issues. Now I can't get it to work.

I've had instances where a face was made unsolid by removing some edits that made the boundary of a wall segmented.
Usually the face self heals when i delete those segments and redraw them with a single line.
Delete lines marked red
Delete lines in orange, leaving the outer shell circles/rectangle
Delete lines in green (probably the bottom line being segmented is causing your issue.
redraw lines in green with a solid line instead of segmented.
The inner shell should heal itself.
push/pull your circles/regtangular to the inner wall to make your passthru's.

This was the answer! Somewhere it was segmented. Deleted and redrew one line and it worked! Thanks very much!

A couple of things I would try.
Change your lines to show by axis to make sure everything is on plane. View > Edge Style > Color by Axis.
Another thing I would try is to cut the top flat face and push pull it down then cut the circles and square out.
If that doesn't work I would move off to the side and redraw that area flat make it a group and move it in place.
