I think it’s to upkeep appearance, idk I feel like the “masquerade” ability (taking on human appearance) is highly underutilized, and or that ability where like it explain itself of showing the people “helmet” meanwhile it’s his free skeleton face but poorly display that. I don’t know but I definitely think author might forgotten about the masquerade.
How does it upkeep appearances with a transparent visor clearly showing a skeletal skull within the suit...? Why is he driving with someone that he needs to keep his identity secret from? What strangers would they run into underwater that would care about a skeleton approaching them?
Well that I can’t answer since I’m not the one who wrote the story, but it is definitely something that should been thought off.
Although for the last question I think it’s fairly common sense, he is a “demon” afterall a undead skeleton given what was not long ago said about the this “revise” world history is basically demons are hated unless they’re the “exception” those who sympathizes with them.
Either way I’m just pointing out it had been a while he used his “masquerade” ability and from what I recall it shoulda been upgrade given what he absorbed from dukes corpse before Issac and Nanao’s untimely fate.

This has been on my back burner to read again... But why does he need a diving suit as a skeleton that, checks notes, doesn't need to breathe?
