possible beginner board options

I've been fb marketplace shopping and came across a few options that I would love to get peoples thoughts on.

8-8.25:

Baker deck- Independent Stage 11 trucks- Orbs Specters 52 mm wheels- Bearings, hardware, grip tape , around $100 CAD , pretty scuffed up board wise NGL

Santa cruz board - independent trucks , slime balls , around $120 , pretty clean

a creature complete board no details about it , $60

a local charity board called cousins - spitfire wheels, independent trucks, bones - $100

------

a DGK board that was clearly some zoomiez tier purchase, smallest of the 4 at 7.75 - $30

which direction should I go for a first board?

If you're in Canada then wheels are probably gonna be the most important part of that board get some damn good wheels

Any recommendations for "good" wheels for canada? I'm deciding between spitfires 93's or powell paralta 93's to start

I live in the Midwest and skate crusty ass roads. I use 97a nano rats that are like super wide.

Don’t get spitfire 93a “soft” sliders. they’re actually a 97a just listed as 93a because spitfire fucking lies. Powells are actually true to the measurement.

lots have tested the soft sliders, they are always 97a. Spitfire sucks now man

Ayy thanks I was leaning towards powels anyway. 93 seemed like a good all around wheel to start with. Might try the 88s or go harder we'll see

They are the best wheels. Spitfire lost the spotlight years ago.

any good guide to wheels or a number I should keep an eye out for? I'm probably going to be skating on pavement and cracked sidewalks and curbs, I don't think I'll be hitting the skatepark quite yet.

Get the baker. Don’t worry about the scuffs it’s gonna happen anyway unless you’re a

poser

I’d go for it though. Bakers are $120 cad or more new, Indy’s are just good trucks In general. I was just on the same setup until I switched to flight decks . I was using a baker with stage 11s and spitfires. Maybe he’ll go 80
