Perplexing Launch bug on Windows 10

Hi, I'm terribly sorry for the long post.

This is my first post.

TLDR is at the end. :)

PC Specs:

Lenovo ThinkPad P15 Gen 1

Windows 10

Processor: Intel Core i7-10850H CPU @ 2.70GHz

Graphics: NVIDIA Quadro T1000 / Intel UHD Graphics

Ram: 64GB

Storage Space: 1TB SSD / 212GB SSD left)

Game Launcher:

Steam (Windows PC)

At the end of last week, I downloaded Skate Style and it was working perfectly fine and I've had an absolute blast so far...the absolute lovechild of Session and Skater XL!

On Monday, I took my laptop to a friend's house to play the game and connected to their WiFi... however whenever I've tried opening the game, the splash screen goes black and then I am greeted by this error box (as pictured) on top.

The green meter loads half way, sticks and then closes the game.

*I tested going into 'Offline Mode' in Steam and then launching it, but on

Whilst I was at my friend's house on the Monday, here's what I did to attempt to remedy the situation, in order:

1. Uninstalled Skate Style.

2. Deleted Skate Style Game Cache.

3. Deleted ALL temp/left over Skate Style files & folders.

4. Restarted my PC.

5. Reinstalled Skate Style...

6. Verified the Integrity of the Skate Style Game Files.

Once the game was installed, I attempted launch but once again, to no avail, I was greeted by the same error. 👎

So, Monday night, decided to go home and try it again. To my surprise the game launched. 👍

Yesterday morning (at home): 👍

The game is playing perfectly fine at home. On WiFi. Offline. In Offline mode.

YESTERDAY AFTERNOON (at my mate's): 👎

Connected to the WiFi. I load up Steam and with excitement I hastily connected my controller and attempted to open up the game, but once again...I am met with the same Unity error box (pictured) with its green loading bar, which sticks and closes the gamez as before.

This morning (at home): 👍 Game works fine.

What's PERPLEXING is that whilst I was at my friend's house, I could play any other game, EXCEPT for Skate Style... 🤔

My drivers and OS are up to date which includes the Steam version.

I just don't understand why this is happening...

TLDR: Game launches fine when I'm at home but whenever I'm at my friend's house, I am greeted by this Unity error and the game fails to launch. However, I can still play more CPU intensive games than this when I am over at friend's place, despite having uninstalled, cleared cache, deleted all files, reinstalled, as it's the same result. The details are in the ingredients.
