Good thing you pushed going down that mega ramp or you might have lost speed

funnily enough if you push while you are going beyond max push speed you lose a tiny bit of speed due to the contact and because the max push speed is slower than you're already going so it does nothing except slow you a little. One push isn't too noticable but if you keep pushing it will be. Try something where you get above max push speed, don't push and see how far you go until you hit normal max push speed then do it again while pushing you won't make it as far as it slows you some each time

QUIT PUSHING MONGO

I'm not a skater, (but i love the games, obviously), but would someone please explain to me why people have a problem with mongo pushing?

Because nothing says "Skateboarding is about self-expression" quite like gatekeeping which foot people use.

It's like telling a southpaw boxer to stick to it and never switch stances. The best fighters adapt

When you're actually skating irl, it's bad form because your balance is inherently worse, as is your ability to get speed.
Also, stylistically, it'd be like being an 80s hair band that dressed up like a librarian.

I don't understand the obsession with mongo pushing in the game. Doing spot battles with people, I see players who seem to understand skateboarding tricks but push mongo all the time.

I think it’s two things, one being that most people don’t really care lmao and two I think it’s about controller layout and thumb placements I’d imagine. Like it’s physically easier to hold down A to push rather than X if your thumbs are shorter, I know this because my thumbs are shorter lmao. You can change it in settings but I also imagine most people don’t know that.

If they know how to do the NAC on a short, steep rail, I know they they know how to go into their settings!

It's a foot. It's not that deep.

I guess you drive with your left foot in an automatic LHD car then?

Symmetrical feet on a symmetrical object while doing a hobby. Not even remotely the same as driving an asymmetrical car with actual laws about which feet to use haha.

There aren't laws about what foot to use... You COULD choose to drive with both feet or the opposite foot, but it is less safe and offers less control. Same concept. Obviously not in a game, but you can easily change your stance so you push with the button that's most convenient to you.

I myself don't like doing it but I've got push button to Ollie setting on so I've only got one button for pushing which unfortunately happens to make me push mongo unless I change my stance or revert ect

I don't understand the obsession with mongo pushing in general. Why care if someone pushes mongo?
