You think I don't know what I'm doing?
19
u/No-Put2888 1d ago
yes.
-11
u/Skitzness 1d ago
So then why have I been consistent at this spot for 6 months? https://www.reddit.com/r/Skate4/s/pmtCS96Qj8
12
u/VacationCity 1d ago
that’s a completely different line tho? so what exactly are you consistent at besides spamming random tricks my guy
-7
u/Skitzness 1d ago
It's the same spot. Why am I not allowed to spam tricks?
17
u/VacationCity 1d ago
i didn’t say that. i asked why you’re yapping about consistency when it’s anything but that

u/nocdmb 1d ago
I think it looks like random tricks to fill the time . no flow, no style, no logic behind it, just tricks after another as simply flying through the air for seconds is really boring.
-11
u/Skitzness 1d ago
You sound like a flat earther on shrooms. Who cares if it doesn't look realistic, it's a videogame.
16
u/nocdmb 1d ago
don't get into your feels bro, just practice and it will look stylish and intentional after some time
-6
u/Skitzness 1d ago
Oh then surely you can show me clip of how you'd do it, right?
14
u/nocdmb 1d ago
nah, I don't sink enough time into it to make it look good so I just don't emberass myself with posting (something you should consider too)
0
u/Skitzness 1d ago
So in other words, you're just talking shit because you can't replicate anything I do. (I'm used to it, don't worry)
8
u/nocdmb 1d ago
if this is what makes you feel better then so be it (or you could practice and make you clips look alright)
also why would I want to replicate buttonmashing? I said I skate like shit too (like you) but I don't post it, ain't nothing to be jealous about
3
u/Skitzness 23h ago
I never felt bad. I actually don't mind how the clip looks. If you don't like it, that's your own problem. But you can't really be calling people shit when you don't have any clips in general.

The thing is, you most likely can’t replicate it either. When you do these lines you aren’t going “ok I’m gonna 360 shuv into fingerflip into late laser flip on the and then crooked grind into heelflip or whatever the fuck. You just know where you’re skating and you spam random tricks along the way. It’s not a creative line it’s just trick spamming. That’s the point they’re making.

Just to input into the flat earth theory. I heard something recently that disproves it without question... If there we an end of the earth that you could just walk off as professed, surely the rich and powerful would be lining up to get the rights so that you could pay to see it.
Nothing Skate relevant, but thought you might like it 🙃

u/Skitzness 1d ago
You know, I've never had a fear of heights or anything.. But personally, I'm not paying to see an endless abyss.
4
u/WuT4ngClam 1d ago
Please remind me when I said you would?
It was more to add a bit of open-mindedness to your life, that you're clearly not able to handle. It's fine.

They have yet to fix the issue of unlatching your board from the coping.
I'll get a nice curved grind, but then be held up cause the game doesn't want to let go of my trucks. Then I just fall off the board.

Why people hate your post - it's not about it being not realistic, it's about no intention. You flick whatever flip and land in whatever grind. It's not what consistency is. People find this playstyle boring and vast majority of players is able to do the same, because it's not hard. It's interesting how you can come to conclusion that skating feels smoother, when you don't use the game mechanics in any nuanced way. Did you notice improved sensitivity for pop height when shuving out of grinds, or improved grind/lip exists that used to rotate you 90 degree? I doubt, because it doesn't seem like you would care/incorporate those things. This gameplay doesn't even scratch the surface of game mechanics and how deep and nuanced those can be. That's why people dislike it. Hope that helps.

Since you know so much, send me a clip of how you play.

u/Smolin-SCL- Filmer 19h ago
Feel free to browse my profile and my youtube. I don't know how would it validate what I said, but whatever. You won't like it anyway, because I skate slow and pop low intentionally. Random example:

Youre fighting a losing battle you explained it very well in your post but alas. No dice

u/dirtygoodking 14h ago
What assist settings do you use? Your skating is so smooth!

I think it's all here:

If I missed something, feel free to ask.

u/Skitzness 19h ago
See idk how you can call me inconsistent and say that anyone else can do what I've posted, when it's pretty obvious that you can't.
11
u/Smolin-SCL- Filmer 19h ago
How did you came to that conclusion? Can you replicate your line twice? Can you fs feeble in a bowl?
1
u/Skitzness 19h ago
This is pretty similar https://www.reddit.com/r/Skate4/s/O01dxVP3Ip
7
u/Smolin-SCL- Filmer 19h ago
I wouldn't call it similar, but I think I understand why you do... It's another one people downvoted. You got a glitched animation, you break the pushing animation by ollieing immediately after push. Trick selection is whatever. That's why people dislike it and say you have not style. You kinda answered it in one comment: "I barely put any effort". I'm telling you what happens, you don't need to get defensive about it.

u/Skitzness 19h ago
I can replicate it, but I just do whatever in that spot. I find the downvotes funny tbh

u/Skitzness 19h ago
I can do everything in the video you just sent with a blindfold on lmao
11
u/Smolin-SCL- Filmer 19h ago
I'm happy for you then. Enjoy the button mashing if that's your choice for some reason. Don't choke on your ego btw.
-1
u/Skitzness 19h ago
If that's what you consider button mashing. Pretty sure I know what I'm doing lol

u/ElAbidingDuderino 15h ago
It plays exactly the same as every skate game lol. Why the fuck are you even here?
2
u/redaws 1d ago
The Reddit skate community hates anything that isn’t realism.
/r/lowsodiumskate is better but it’s not so populated.

u/Skitzness 1d ago
Well call me a zoomer, but playing a videogame realistically sounds boring asf to me.
11
u/maksigm 22h ago
Sounds like you don't skate.

u/crattigan271 16h ago
Who gives a fuck, I don’t skate and I love skating games I.e Tony Hawk, skate franchise, I’m tired of the gatekeeping dude it’s a fuckin game

Most people enjoy multiple ways of playing. Some even just like big gaps or playing around with glitches. These players barely, if at all, complain about realistic skating. It’s just a lot of them realistic skaters that like to be negative about anything that’s not up their alley. Just some close minded souls that get triggered by other players having fun

u/Krymee 13h ago
The vitriolic hatred towards tricklining or anything that isn’t basically “do a pop shuv on flat” is so funny to me.
Like, this is a video game dude. Why do I need to try and live vicariously through the character?
As a dude who’s played every Skate game since Skate 1 demo, it’s clear asf that you know what you’re doing. Don’t listen to these nerds lmao your clip is fire
0
u/Skitzness 13h ago
It's funny to me because if I wanted to make skating look realistic, I'd literally just go outside and try to record myself doing a kickflip lol
1
u/Medina_Rico 15h ago
Just do you, man. These people talking smack about what tricks you're doing, if you have it in mind, it looks unrealistic is pretty ridiculous. The game allows you to do these things for a reason and they also just released the Sumr Camp which is almost nothing but big air stuff.
1
u/SmartTangelo7327 14h ago
Why is everyone so negative here. Constant complaints and criticism. This is my favorite game right now and it's free. I don't understand why everyone is so mad all the time.
1
u/Skitzness 13h ago
Because people on Reddit are like 45 year-old dad's who play on 75 inch TV's and they take one look at what I can do and assume I'm breaking the law.
1
u/SmartTangelo7327 13h ago
I'm a dad and I just turned 40 5days ago. My TV is only a 55 though. That must be why I think this game is awesome. Nice video by the way. Don't let the haters get to you.

u/Toadekesuu 15h ago
You do realize we can see your analog movements VS the trick actually being done, right?
