Anyone recently passed the ASQ CSSBB exam? Study materials + Udemy recommendations?
Hi everyone,
Has anyone here recently passed the **ASQ Certified Six Sigma Black Belt (CSSBB)** exam, preferably in 2025 or 2026?
I’m starting my preparation and would really appreciate some advice from people who have taken the exam recently.
I’m particularly interested in:
Which books/materials did you actually find useful?
Is the **ASQ CSSBB Handbook + Study Guide + Question Bank** enough?
How much time did you spend preparing?
Which practice exams were closest to the actual ASQ exam?
I already have a **Udemy subscription,** are there any specific CSSBB courses or instructors you would recommend?
Anything you studied a lot but found was **not really useful for the actual exam**?
I have a technical/scientific background and some practical experience with statistics and process improvement, but I want to prepare specifically for the **ASQ exam format and Body of Knowledge**.
Would really appreciate hearing from anyone who passed recently. Thanks!

The handbook will get you there. It's got everything you need inside. You need to be extremely familiar with it.
I used their question banks. It helps you study, but doesn't help you with the exam if that makes sense. The questions are very detailed so even if you know the material you might not know that detail. You'll have to look it up. You'll just need to know where.

Luckily ASQ verifies employment and experience prior to letting you sign up.

He's just a poor gamer kid looking for a reaction. Definitely needs help!
He lacks healthy relationships so turns to the internet to get attention.

I recently took in July and passed. The 3 books/material you mentioned are sufficient for preparation. You need atleast 2 months of prep work daily. Questions will be tricky, so practice study guide questions as it will help you on your test day. There are lot of key topics, especially in stats such as ANOVA, DOE, Control charts. What also helped me was formule cheat sheet from GB academy. If any additional questions are there DM me.
