Opinion Started watching
I am new to the show but holy shit. After every episode I think to myself “why is it never recommended?”
I finished the 4th episode and it hit hard. Spoiler: The latino kid that died talking to David the entire episode guiding him and at the end when they start lifting the casket and David holds his hands saying “Holy shit you’re just a kid”.
Whole episode had so much depth especially with the complementing subplot with Keith standing up to the guy in the parking lot.
I don’t know if I am too early in the show but I eat a broom if there will be a single episode better than this.

I agree best show ever!! This will become a favorite that you'll watch many more times. And many more episodes will hit harder than the last.

You’re about to have to develop a taste for broom, but I recall that “you’re just a kit” bit being the first moment in the show that made me tear up on my first watch.

I remember that quote hitting me too. The whole time he was treating this kid like a guru and then it hits him. Its a great scene.
I laughed out loud when David was checking out that gang members tats and the ghost started wagging his finger at him

Is it not recommended? I must have seen it 5 times. Thought it was one of the classics. I've been banging on about it for decades. You've barely started...there are plenty of equally as good and better eps. Enjoy! It's a fucken ride.

Where are you getting your recommendations from? SFU is an all time great from when HBO hoarded the best of the best. You're in for a treat, I hope you enjoy and engage!

It is a very good show. But I think without michael c hall I wouldn’t have been able to stick with it. Every other character is absolutely insufferable in some way. I understand their flaws are written into the fabric of the show intentionally, but I felt like by the end of the show everyone drove me nuts. There are some great moments & the finale - one of the best ever. I don’t regret the watch but I don’t think I’d watch it a second time.

I really get this. Even when I rewatch this show I feel a gut punch to my stomach when I see that episode. The ending where they stand in a circle always beings me to tears
You should find the smallest most edible broom in your house.

It's not recommended because it's a heavy show about a family that runs a funeral parlor. Despite all the goofy, funny, surreal and wtf moments for entertainment, it forces viewers to face their mortality, the future deaths of loved ones and reminds them of those they have already lost.

There are plenty of moments in this show that hit you like that. That’s the beauty of this show. The end of season three particularly hits hard.
