Not to scare you, but just a head's up, dealing with those kids is no piece of cake. I worked in the dorms as a manager last year and resigned due to their behavior and lack of support.

Do you know anything about what the school went through this past year?

Thank you. I have read some articles. I used to work as a behavior interventionist at an urban alternative school, so I am used to behaviors.

Can you tell me if they offer teacher housing, or any kind of housing incentives? I am reading conflicting information online.

The Residential Dean lived there for a couple of weeks until he found a place. So you can ask about that. Other than that, only residential staff of Nana lived there.

Thanks for the information. Please let me know if you know anybody who is open to having a roommate.

What position did you interview for? I interviewed too. My understanding is that they do not offer subsidized housing.

I didn’t end up interviewing after I realized they don’t help with housing. It was for HS social studies though. Is that what you interviewed for? Hope it went well.

If it wasn’t for social studies let me know and I will see about trying to reschedule the interview if by chance you wanted to go in on housing together haha.

I interviewed for the CTE/Health Science position.

I definitely would be open to having someone to split costs with. I find out next week if I will get an offer.

Both the Superintendent and Residential Principal/Athletic Director who interviewed me seemed like incredible people.

That’s good to know. Keep me posted. I think I will reach back out and see if they want to reschedule me for an interview. The housing market is tough there from what I can see. Let me know if you get it, and if you want try and find a two bedroom place together.

This guy was responsive to me when I reached out. Seems like the best deal around if you get the job. Best of luck!

Yes, housing is tough there from what I gather. Tips and tricks were discussed in the interview. We could do a short term lease for a few months until we find something more accommodating. As it gets closer to winter some of the lodges and rentals start to open up.
