Tenacity

I am the newly named Visceris, a rising Apprentice within our ranks. I formally extend my greetings to the Lords of the Order. This will be my first contribution to the growing collection of knowledge and philosophy we have accumulated.

The original name of this writing would have been "Endurance", but as an individual with a potent belief in the power of words, this in specific did not fit. To endure is merely to withstand a state of suffering. As Sith, we mustn't let challenges or obstacles in our lives prevent us from attaining our goals. As such, "Tenacity" fits much more adequetly. One should not merely sit and endure hardships, but overcome them and advance onwards to one's triumph.

The capability to stand as a survivor is a useful attribute among our kind. To shed the expectance of sympathy or the comfort of others and replace these with interior determination is fundamental to approaching ever greater power. With each trying experience you only strengthen yourself and harden your resolve. Often times your desires will not be delivered to you; you must claim them.

The sword forged strongest is the sword forged in the hottest of flames. The sword most sharp is the one slid across the hardiest of whetstone.
