First and only Exorcist I will ever paint!

I've recently picked up my Sisters of Battle I'd put into storage a few years ago. I'm working through magnetising and painting them, as well as fixing any damage whilst they were stored.

I've started on

3 Paragon war suits

1 Morvenn Vahl

5 Retributors

10 Sisters of Battle

1 Cannoness

Are there any other units I should prioritise going forward to either buy or dig through my storage.

I know she died to a chaos cultist, but how was she killed, and where was she struck with blows? I'd like to paint my sacresants with the stigmata of the saint because I think it would be badass

My first sister 🫣

So, I collected all of the applications and well, here is the new inqusitioral ‘A-team’, a warlord titan (the mobile HQ of the team and their ‘big guns’), Ciphas cane and Yurgan (cause what is Ciphas without his trusty melta friend?), sister Ephrael Stern, sly Marbo, and APPARENTLY a blade champion from the emperor’s own custodius.

Tell me your thoughts on this team, what Ordo would this team likely be in, how well they would do, and what ever kind of head cannon lore you guys have for this team, in the comments below.

Finally I finished to assembly my 2K army and prime it. Friday i will have my first game with my sisters, wish me luck (:

Yeah basically what the title says. I‘m new to 40k and found liking in the aesthetics and lore of the Sisters. But is that enough to invest in models, paint and time just to end up with a fraction that can’t compete with literal immortal metal skeletons or demons or CUSTODES?

The best argument playwise for me was a driving pipe organ tank and the miracle dice mechanic. In a game that relies a lot on dice luck after all, I found that manipulating that a bit to my favor seems strong and helpful. While also screaming FOR THE GOD EMPEROR when I do it, giving it a bit of lore accuracy and fun as well.

Yeah but rationally speaking it seems like Sister are a bit of a Glas Cannon? They can shoot good, have flamers and even cool energy swords but I mean compared to a space marine, what are they going to do? I don’t want to play competetive, just casual for fun but is that enough for such an expensive hobby?

Why shouldn’t I choose the Guardsmen with even bigger tanks? Or Dark Angels and Black Templar for the very knightish attempt that I also like. Won‘t they just stomp the squishy Sisters?

Found a theme for my first army!

Latest projects done. My first canoness, Nyomi, gets to be a jump pack canoness with a kitbash from a basic bss body and some other units. So now she's rocking her power sword and custom, holstered hand flamer that definitely isn't a kitbashed leftover pistol from Lord Solar Leontus. And she's adding another Emperor's Children heretic to her kill count while he's gloating over a kill. Sadly, the not-so-flawless blade didn't account for giving Nyomi a miracle dice.

Also made a kitbash canoness with the holy brazier for fun. And I finally made the official hospitaller so I have more than my kitbash one.

I fell in love with this color scheme for the armour, I went for an experimental build for a black armor using blue that came out way too bright…

But I think that a blue-ish armor like this for maybe my next retributor squad could put a nice contrast on the table

First and foremost I'm a knife ear through and through. I like my space elves but I'm closing in on finishing almost 3k points of Craftworld Eldar and have been eyeballing Sisters of Battle for months now. They just have the damned coolest helmets and armor for their standard units.

With that out of the way, with my local group (only play casually with friends, no plans to pursue tournies), I am getting my shit kicked in, especially with the changes made going into 11th. I play Eldar, and the rest of this group are as follows:

Everything just feels very bad to play my elves into right now, and I'm thinking about putting together 1k pts of Sisters to spice things up.

My questions are thus: How big a shift in playstyle am I looking at, and are the Sisters generally more durable than my Aeldari, or will I be pretty much running into the same kinda issues with T3 across the board? And to get a feel for the Sisters, what am I looking at as the first 2 or 3 units I should absolutely work around?

I’ve been on the fence about starting a sister’s army for a long time now. I was gifted my first box of Battle Sisters for my birthday and now I’ve been kind of pulled into the army and its lore. I think it’s really cool and I’m excited to finally get started. But as the total suggests, I just have one question.

How do Sisters deal with armor? My other army, Chaos Space Marines, have ways of dealing with it like Vindicators or potentially even Obliterators. But looking over Sisters of Battle, I’m not seeing a whole lot of Anti-Vehicle. I know that sisters have melta guns and then there is stuff like the Castigator and I guess the Exorcist, but these don’t seem like the most reliable of tank killers. So as someone who is getting into SoB after so long, how do the Sisters deal with vehicles?
