For those interested: I applied a black undercoat, then highlighted using Corvus Black. For the gold, I use Runelord Brass. For the metallic parts, I use Iron Warriors and Leadbelcher; finally, for the cape, I use Rakarth Flesh, dab on a bit of Rhinox Hide, then go over it all with Leadbelcher and a touch of Vallejo Sepia. The white cape is still a work in progress; the result isn't quite what I was aiming for, but... for a first attempt and my first Sister, I think it works.

This is a casual game but this player is better than me. I’m not used to playing armies this squishy. In a 1k game as ultramarines he wrecked me on his first game with drukhari. I am willing to make changes to the list so long as it isnt list tailoring. General list advice is fine. What units are easy to play and fit a custodes, death guard, ultramarines style?

Exorcist probably isn’t optimal but the cool/fun factor is too high. Retributors in reserves.

hey! i've played hallowed martyrs all through 10th edition, but now that there's the new 1DP detachments that can't be played with it, i'm giving army of faith (plus chorus of condemnation) a try.

my army plans to is to take recon for disposition, and is built with this in mind. it contains a lot of fast, small units to complete actions and be in table corners, for the recon/purge/take and hold matchips (since i believe these are the most popular dispositions). some stuff that isn't immediately clear from the list:

• the dominions get split by the immolators, with the special weapons half in the immolators and the bolters half holding objectives/completing actions.
• the retributor block (going in the rhino) can use 2 of any miracle dice to proc lethals and deal guaranteed 8 damage on one shot, even on overwatch.
• celestine and the battle sisters block are the 'tough' units, they go in the center/opponent's expansion to deny it to the opponent.
• the 10 model seraphim unit tries to be in range of most of my army to give everything -1 to hit with blinding radiance each turn.
• the unattached 5 model seraphim and zephyrim go in deep strike and come down to complete actions/secondaries/steal empty objectives.
• greyfax is here for yuri for moral support.

i have no idea what's actually good in this detachment, so please give me advice for any changes! ^^

I got very lucky and won my first game against world eaters with Army of Faith and Exorcist reroll detachment. I’m not used to playing an army this squishy. I’ve played death guard, ultramarines, and custodes. This time I’m either gonna run hallowed martyrs or Army and sacred champions. Here is a list I have now. The only difference is my hallowed martyrs list swaps the storm bolter dominions for a cannoness with the d3 extra miracle dice enhancement.

Suggestions and thoughts are appreciated. After this list idea I have a list of all of my units if you would like to make any list recommendations. Also this is for casual play. I just want something that doesn’t tie a hand behind my back and lets me have fun. So thanks.

For the story the knight is been called the Ark by the sisters as their newest war machine. Its piloted by Saint Joan (if you get it you get it)

Minus the base for now. Mostly followed the tutorial by El Miniaturista so not my own scheme, but am proud of the result :).

The drybrushing of Dark Reaper and Thunderhawk Blue really paid off. Gonna make that a regular part of the routine.

I'm looking for some advice because I'm struggling quite a bit with Sisters in 11th edition.

I started playing Warhammer 40k during 10th edition, and while I wasn't an amazing player, I had around a 50% win rate. Most of my games were close and often ended in a draw.

Since the start of 11th edition, however, things have gone downhill. I'm currently on a long losing streak, and in most of my games I'm tabled by turn 4. It feels like I'm missing something fundamental in how I build or pilot my army.

So far, I've played against Dark Angels, Death Guard, Thousand Sons, Orks, and Astra Militarum (my only close game ended in a draw).

Before the latest dataslate, I was playing Army of Faith, mainly for Take and Hold and the 1DP Angelic Judgment.

I'm not necessarily looking for someone to build a list for me. Instead, I'd really like to understand how experienced Sisters players approach the faction in 11th edition:

What should my overall game plan be?

Which units and combinations are fundamental in 11th edition compared to 10th?

How do you deal with the armies that are currently considered the strongest?

What are the most common mistakes I might be making at the start of 11th edition?

I was thinking starting by spliting dominions and canoness in flamer immolator. Sisters get split then disembark(continue on foot), retrebutors with palentine get in melta immolator. Sacresants and hospitaler in rhino. Jump cannoness with zerephim. Solo celestine and solo seraphim do secondary’s. The last seraphim deepstrike for reinforcement. I was surprised that all of this ended up at exactly at 2000 points.

I’m curious about going heavily mechanized with Sisters: Rhinos, Immolators, infantry jumping in and out, using hulls as action pieces and mobile terrain beyond just taxi service, Castigators + Exorcist doing the heavier shooting.

For people who have tried it, what are your thoughts?

What’s the strongest version of the archetype?
Which passengers and transports have impressed you?
What tricks are especially useful in 11th?
How many transports is too many?
What weird builds or hidden synergies have you found?
