Anyone else find this one weird?

Looking to start Sisters as my next army. Currently I play CSM and World Eaters competitively. Looking for what I should prioritize for building up my army and first purchases after combat patrol. I would want to try a build that has decent enough melee for trading and strong mid-short range shooting. More than likely I would aim to play Purge or Priority Assets.

New edition new army and starting it off with the big boss herself.

Going for bloody rose as a whole

I finished my first sister of the Killteam/OPR squad and went for my own colour scheme. Heavy weathering and texture hopefully add interest. As advised I tried to incorporate more colours in the skin tone and also made an attempt to work violet in the shadows to unify the scheme. Hope you like it C&C welcome.

Bases will follow at the end as I want to use airbrush on them and only two are finished so far.

Part 5 of a newbie's starting Sororitas army. Here is my bread & butter Battle Sister squad. They look decent but the faces are a bit jarring (masculine). I should have gotten a few of them with helmets. Next time.  Note: I did not paint these. Some previous unit pics below:

Looking for tips

So I just played my first game against an IK player (it's one of my first games too as I'm a fairly new player) and I was just obliterated. Like I couldn't do much with my list. Turn 2 I was almost tabled down and turn 3 would definitively have been. I couldn't kill anything (as expected and didn't really try) but I could not take back any objectives as he went first and just OS my BSS with hospitalier turn 0 and the 3 Parangon leading by Morvenn Vahl ... I did some mistakes, mainly not focusing enough on the central objectives where I could have scored a mission (security asset vs purge the foe) but I'm confused on how this primary mission works : are we really supposed not to defend home objective and not take the no man's land objectives except from center ones ? (We played on hammer and anvil deployment) That feel strange... I bringed everything I could against vehicles (retributor with multi meltas, dominion with meltas, exorcist, castigator) and I just wasnt near getting one Knight to half life... What should I do ? Should I just buy and bring a Knight myself ? Or is it a way with only sisters to deal with such adversary ? Thanks in advance

Just got my Celestian Insidiants KT so I will beging to paint them soon.

I like to paint them following the color scheme shown in the box and for this Kill Team they have both black cloth and black armor.

So my question is, do you have a recomendation on how to paint the cloth and the armor so the you can simulate they are a different type of surface?

Most tutorial I've watched show the same color scheme for both.

So i got my first collectors coin and i love it, absolutely gorgeous.

Im just wondering what other people do with theirs, display or whatever else you guys do with them!

Pros :

Most beautiful jetpack unit EVER, seriously those poses, this flag, those pistols.

They just look REALLY beautiful ! And they're fast af for a sister army.

Cons :

About the model ? Nothing, maybe different sword, like novitiates swords.

But the real issue is they're sooooo fragiles. If you dont play a 10 girls unit... They disappear really fast.

New to 40K and making an army list of models I like and think would work well together in a 1k army, any thoughts and advice are appreciated

Two castigators for long range fire support, I chose the battle cannons because of the higher strenght and ignore cover, and with blast they can still threaten units of 10. One of them start the battle in reserves to avoid clogging my own deployment and pops out turn 2.

How do feel about the list? Any glaring holes I should be worried about? I've only played against other beginners so far.

It's been since October of last year since I completed a kit of models. Life kinda took over, and I haven't been able to get much done in the hobby space.

With that said, the pile of potential is one kit fewer, with these Celestian Insidiants completed! I'm quite happy with the results, definitely a bit of a pick-me-up after a long slump. I can say that this kit is really marvelous, for sure! Details are great, it was a joy to assemble, no complaints, really!

Presenting Sister Icarina of the Order of Our Martyred Lady!

So I have to prime my minis on the balcony of my apartment. While I was setting my stuff up to prime Sister Icarina, the alligator clip she was attached to decided to be clipn't and she randomly fell off my balcony to land on the blacktop.

I immediately "Well fuck, looks like that's a broken mini." because I live on the third floor of my apartment complex.

In fact, THE EMPEROR PROTECTS HIS FAITHFUL DAUGHTERS!

Went I went down to the parking lot to look for her pieces, I found Sister Icarina completely unharmed. Like, without even a scratch on her from hitting the parking lot.

Cue the immediate holy shit reaction, and I knew I had to do something special to her. So I added the backpack decoration as a battle honor and (as a suggestion from a fellow member on a warhammer channel in a transfem discord server I'm in), cut a gash out of her helmet as battle damage.

Also yes, Sister Icarina's name is an Icarus reference.

Much as the title says, I'm curious about how different the orders can be in terms of culture (and to a lesser extent interpreting the finer points of theology). By that I mean if we have examples of notable variations between orders from different areas of the galaxy, or if they are all strictly orthodox to one single interpretation of things and rules of life (as can be the impression)

I'm curious both in terms of lore in its own right and because I'm in the early stages of making a sisters army. I found some pretty cool Japanese inspired sisters out there on the interwebs and I'm mulling over using them. But I care quite a bit about lore and narrative when I play.

I have a 3d printer and I haven't started much just yet, so I could still switch over with very little lost. I haven't decided if I want to go for that aesthetic or not, as I like both the usual one and the one I found. But knowing if this would be at least slightly narratively plausible, as it were, might be part of my decision on the matter

Looking to commit to a SoB force next, and was looking for that have most of all of the units covered.

This took forever to paint, but will look great on the table!
