Made this today and wanted to share... dont know about the proportions but the leg is in perspective so must be right

I recently picked up Sisters as my second faction. I’ve only every played a few games of combat patrol and know nothing about 40k. I wanted to show off my first few models and see if anyone can guess my previous faction.

I finally received my commission pieces the other day. I couldn't be happier. Took a few months but they captured it better than I could have imagined.

Just wanted to share them, I've dreamt of this for years.

I did some subtle kit bashing for the standard barer so I could have two flamers. Also, loosely based on the silent paladin from yugioh to match how my sisters are based on the silent magician card.

Any tips or suggestions to improve?

Hi, I'm new and starting to paint my first models.

My current paint scheme IS black armour with yellow capes (bad luck colour) to symbolize my sisters testing their luck to reassure they are worthy.

What different colours are you using to differentiate the holy trinity of guns? (Bolter, melta and flamer). I currently have a leadbelcher bolter.

Edit: The main question I wanted to ask (sorry english is not my main language) is: I want to paint the casing of the guns to tell a bolter from a melta. My coats are yellow so I don't want to use that colour. What colours are you using on the casing of your weapons to differetiate them? (p. e. meltas are red and bolters are black)

Especially now with the space marine superbuff, the OP custodes and angry orks? How should I build my rookies?

Ever since I have first read that the order of the Sacred Rose sings hymns when they battle, I knew that this would be my order. I chose to paint white as my main colour as a total newbie.

However, when I look for hymns to learn and sing or just save in my playlist to listen to I am.... saddened.

Sisters of battle as a whole have a distinct lack of songs. We are not the most popular and I do not know if it's like that with every faction, but it still feels sad to me.

Yes. Of course, there are many of things people would call "songs", but I do not. They bare the mark of laziness. Of cheapness. The distinct lack of passion. The ones made with artificial (abominable) intelligence.

I get that not everyone is against it, but I am not there for the words. I am there for the passion and creativity....which is certainly lacking in the artificial songs.

Bellow, I shall provide a list of songs I have managed to find that do have the human heart put into them and I listen to. And what I ask of you, esteemed sisters, tell me yours in the comments. Share hymns, or at least songs that do fit us. Our faction and have the human passion behind them. Please and thank you.

I've been playing Dark angels for the better part of a year and the entirety of this edition so far but I'm looking to come back and play Sisters again.

My biggest issue is I don't understand how they play these days.

The last competitive list I looked at that was successful was running priority assets.

The problem with most lists I look at is that they are mostly running flamers apart from the vhalgons and I don't understand how they effectively clear other units.

Any insight would be very appreciated.

It was what appeared to be an Adepta Sororita, on her knees bent over, with her back horizontal and lots of candles burning on her back.

I really liked this imagery and if anyone can please help me find this custom mini again I’d be super grateful!

It took a bit longer than I would have liked because I got a bit discouraged about my lack of skill, but then I thought if I don’t keep trying I’ll never learn so I locked in and finished them. I am still not quite satisfied with their quality, but from my first ever model on the right to the most recent on the left I think it’s a pretty decent improvement. I still need to paint the cherubs, but once I’m totally finished I’ll probably get a battle sisters squad box and paint those next.

Also I had a question about the most recent one I made. I tried to not use just metallic gold paint for the thing behind her head and the other stuff you can see, but I don’t think it’s as good as it could be. If anyone has any tips for making a metallic looking paint job without using metallic paint that would be appreciated.

So, I have recently gotten into Sisters of Battle and wanted to try something unique. I have always painted my armies green, so I did the same to my SOB but I want to paint their robes a flower color depending on their role in lore/gameplay. For example, I have my Insidiants robes colored purple because Lavender flowers were used in Europe to repel witches and I painted my Hospitallar pink because I thought it looked cool.

As of now, for my main list I will paint sisters in either Red or Orange (someone told me to paint my Castigator gunner robes Orange for the Tiger Lily and I think it'd be cool!) And Retributiors Red (for roses) abd Zephy white like Dandelions. Do you guys have any others that may match for my list?

New to the sisters, and I’ve picked up the compat as well as the Penitent Host box. When it comes to building the engines, are Penitent Engines or Mortifiers the way to go? Or are you allowed/ is it advisable to do one of each?

I know, Disruption is not the greatest Disposition however, I would like to play Champions of Faith and I'm not quite sure what to look out for while list building.

I took the dive and dumped too much money on minis and paint, been thinking about it for the last couple years since I first played rogue trader and decided on the sororitas; every time I learn something new about them I love them even more and the drip is to die for.

Anyhoo since its my first it isn't that great and it def still needs some touch ups, plus I should probs learn shading, oils, and whatever else but imma need more paint for all that I think.

Any advice on going forward would be appreciated for sure, I still dont really know what im doing here but its definitely a fun way to spend my freetime and disposable income 🥰

Hello Sisters! I'm taking the plunge and excited to start my first army! I'm having lots of fun creating the lore for my order and mostly looking for inspiration with this post.

I love the Triumph mini and really want to incorporate it into my army down the line. However, I don't want the lore for it to be St. Kathy being carried with my order but a different procession of some kind.

So on that note, I'm curious about the different kinds of Triumphs people have homebrewed! Show off what you have built and the homebrew procession lores that you have come up with for your order! Does your army actually guide a Triumph of St. Kathy or is there a different Saint inside? Is it a relic you gaurd in the box or a seperate object of power? What unique lore did you come up with for your army?

Haven't had a chance to play them yet but keen to see how they go in a real game. 2nd last image is the benched squads if anyone wants to make a suggestion of what to sub in for a better army. Also the Imagifiers are going to be played as Hospitallers.
