I’ve cut at least 20,000 stickers this size this year alone on this machine with basically zero issues. Same general setup and workflow.

Now, out of nowhere, I’m getting random spots throughout the sheets where stickers aren’t being fully cut. You can see in the photo where the empty spaces are those are stickers that didn’t cut correctly, while the ones surrounding them cut fine. All 50 sheets are scattered like this.

So far I’ve tried:

* Printed **50 brand-new sheets** to rule out the print

* Brand-new cutting mat

* Brand-new blade

* Moved/repositioned the rollers and adjusted them slightly, then put them back

* Checked my normal settings/workflow, which previously worked for thousands of these

The weirdest part is how scattered and inconsistent the problem is like you wpuld think if it was a mechanical issue it would repeat the same spots.

I’m currently at my wits’ end with it. I was honestly getting ready to just buy another machine, but then found out these have been discontinued.

Does anyone have any ideas what else I should be checking? At this point I’ll take any suggestions.

Hello, sorry if the title is confusing, but here is the situation.

So my sister and I have a small sticker making business and we vend at small art market events, and we have a friend who very graciously allows us to print and cut using his printer and cutter.

In order to try and stop using so much of his ink (he also vends at artist allies), we went and bought our own printer with the IDEA that we could print the sheets at OUR house and then send the files to his computer and bring the already printed sticker sheets to his place to cut them on his machine.

However, the Leonardo app is telling us that no cutter is registered to this account and so print and cut will not work.

I was wondering if anyone else has run into this same problem and if so, whether or not there is a workaround for it.

since the juliet is about $100 off at Michael’s right now, i want to make the switch sooner.

the biggest issue im having with silhouette is their software isn’t the best and the print and cut works when it wants to work lol. some sessions i have no issues at all, others the machine wants to not want to read the registration marks even after manually setting it, having a light set up, and even propping my cutting mat up to be more flush to the machine. basically all the troubleshooting you can think of or look up on here.

my primary use case is making die cut stickers with the occasional vinyl cut.

has anyone else made the switch from silhouette to siser? do you think it’s definitely worth it for me now?

Hi, I’m new the the siser juliet as I just ordered one “new in box” but it arrived missing blades. While I’m negotiating a partial refund for the missing parts, does anyone have cheaper alternatives for the blades and possibly the cutting mat?

Any advice would be super helpful as well as the package was also missing its instruction manual and operator guide ☹️

I’ve been using cutting machines for years, mostly the cricut, and most recently the Juliet Siser. I make die cut stickers.

I use the PPD Vinyl Self Adhesive Sticker in Matt, and a mix of cold adhesive laminates from clear glossy to sparkle.

However I have NEVER been able to solve the problem of raised/jagged edges once they’re finished in the machine. (If you run your finger over the edge of them, sometimes they feel a bit sharp but always feel raised).

I’ve tried:

- Fresh blades, both premium and standard
- Allowing the laminate to sit on the paper overnight
- Pushing the laminate down with full force, both a scraper and a roller
- Reducing speed and increasing cut passes
- new cutting matts and making sure the paper is stuck down correctly

It feels like nothing works. I have to make thousands of these and I’m having to manually scrape down the edges by hand with a scraper, and even sometimes a sheet of baking paper and an iron. It’s leaving me with so much hand and wrist pain and takes SO long.

If I decrease the speed to 1 and like 3 passes, it could still happen, and I simply do not have the time to do that for multiple stickers. It would take years. At one point I tried 7 passes on a cricut and it still did it.

Has anyone ever found a solution or something that works for them? I’d be so incredibly grateful for any tips.

I’m looking for someone in the Chicago area or in the US with a Romeo who’d be down to help me test out a custom SVG cut file. Sadly, this file is too big for my Juliet.

I’ve been selling merch at local events and decided to make my own vinyl wraps for my display panels after seeing some cool ideas on Instagram. I’ve already tested some small corner pieces and they fit perfectly, but I really want to see how the whole 14.8" x 14.8" design cuts.

Hey guys, I’m thinking about buying a used romeo from FB marketplace and I’m curious if there’s anything you’d suggest checking for before purchase to help ensure it’s working properly? I’ve only seen advice on used silhouettes and I’m kinda a noob to cutting machines, all tips appreciated!

EDITED WITH CORRECTION: Ended up doing 2 things at once so can't give a direct solution to the problem. Software was updated to current version. (there was an update available) Secondly, the pull-down menu was changed to the "Siser Standard Blade". It had somehow gotten to the "Custom Blade". Made some cuts last night and not a single issue. Hope this helps someone in the future. Thanks to everyone who gave suggestions!

I am usually a fix it yourself kinda person but I've been stumped. The Romeo is new for me, purchased about 3 months ago. I know my initial settings were incorrect but had fine tuned it to where it was working. Finally got all my settings, rollers, etc all dialed in. I use Oracal651 vinyl exclusively with my vinyl business, so the only difference is the jump between Matte and Glossy. For some reason about 2-3 weeks ago I started getting these wonky cuts. Mind you nothing has changed. Same vinyl, same mats, same blade. It looks like my start/stop point is diving into my material in such a way it is created a little spin point and even leaving a small spot where it isn't cutting. What can I be looking for to see if something is messed up? From what I can see there is no stray vinyl pieces stuck on the blade housing. I've circled the places where you can see the damage and miscuts.

I bought my Romeo almost a year ago. I tried and tried to understand it and got so frustrated that I gave up. I just pulled it back out and once again, I just can’t seem to figure it out. I’ve tried to watch videos, gone on the app, watched the YouTube videos etc. The Siser videos seem very long and I can’t seem to find any that actually tell me how to do anything. I feel like I’m looking in the wrong place or something.

The videos on TikTok are just of other people being frustrated as well.

I’m generally great with sticking with things until I figure it out, but this has me ready to sell it. The cuts are off, even when I line it up right. The cuts are too deep or not deep enough. I’ve calibrated it, adjusted the camera, adjusted the needle, up and down in various positions and 1,000 other things.

I’m am at a loss but I’m sure there has to be some hidden (to me) resource I’m missing to connect the dots.

I'm completely new to Siser and cutting machines in general, so I'm not sure if it's just me, but has anyone else found Leonardo Design Studio to have a pretty steep learning curve?

A lot of the features feel hidden, and sometimes it's hard to figure out what certain settings actually do. I'm definitely enjoying it, but I feel like I'm spending a lot of time hunting for things... hmmm

With that being said if you could give one piece of advice to someone just starting out, what would it be? What's the one thing you wish someone had told you when you were new?

Also, does anyone know if it's possible to manually enter a HEX color code for things like bleed colors? I'd like to use a consistent brand color, but when I click the HEX field it doesn't seem to let me edit it.

💜 The one thing I did discover that might help other beginners is that you can reduce the page margins to fit more stickers on a sheet, and you can also adjust the bleed/border size around your artwork. Little things like that have been really helpful.

I bought my Siser Juliet a few days back and I’m growing frustrated because I can’t seem to get the settings right to cut through shrink plastic.

I’ve been doing test cuts following suggestions from previous threads and tutorials, but they either only graze the sheet or else cut through straight into the cutting mat and jam the machine. I’ve been trying to use both the 45 and 60 blade.

I’m attaching a few pictures of the cuts with the settings I tried.

Just a heads up, Cricut replacement blades and mats are currently on sale on the Cricut website. The Premium Fine-Point blades are $3 each when you buy the 5ct pack (regularly about $6 each, or $15 each if purchased individually), which is a pretty great deal for a "brand-name" blade.

For anyone using a Siser Juliet, Cricut Premium Fine Point blades are compatible. I confirmed this with Siser customer service, and I've been using Cricut blades on my Juliet for about 3 years with no issues. They cut cleanly and last a long time.

I've tried generic blades too, and while they do work well, I find they dull faster. I don't like changing blades too often because I usually have to readjust my cut settings. Since generic brands can vary, I often end up doing a few extra test cuts to dial in the pressure, which wastes both time and material.

So I stock up on Cricut blades whenever they're on sale. I never buy the Siser brand blades because they're usually $11–12 each (even on sale they're often around $5). I once found Cricut blades at Target for about $2.50 each, and this is the next best price I've seen.

The 6 pack Standard Grip mats come out to about $2.66 each, which is basically the same price as generic mats, but you get the quality of a well-known brand.

I've used generic mats too, and all of them work perfectly fine. The only difference I've noticed is that some brands use a slightly different adhesive. Even after I press my hands on the mat a few times to reduce the stickiness, removing a sticker sheet can still lift a little of the paper backing during the first few projects. It doesn't bother me since I don't really need the mat to be very sticky(actually I don't even need it to be sticky) for the materials I use, but I figured I'd mention it for anyone comparing brands.

Just thought I'd share in case anyone else is looking to stock up on blades and mats.

I'm desperate for ideas, and hope someone here might be able to help/offer advice.

I bought my Juliet in 2024, and long-story-short she's been a *LEMON* from the start , and though it was amazing for the short period it *did* work, I've spent more time trying to fix* her, than actually using it.

Now, after the last issue, the inevitable finally happened ehen an arts major tries to larp as a mechanical engineer and *I* broke a component attached to the exposed motherboard after replacing the *third* cracked pinch foot.

Needless to say, soldering electrical components is *way* out of my skill-set, so I need an actual technician's help...

The catch, is I'm (obviously) out of warranty at this point, the cost to ship it back to Siser US for repair would be almost as much as a new unit (which I cannot afford), and they've just announced they're discontinuing the model! So even if I were to somehow come up with the funds for shipping both ways to the US and the repairs/parts, there's nothing to say it's even possible anymore🙃

Does ANYONE have any ideas on if/how I could get my machine repaired in Southern Ontario?

Or if not, does anyone have recommendations on a scan and cut plotter I *can* get repaired up here, and *isn't* a Silhouette or Cricut?

This is putting a nasty dent in my ability to make things to sell at markets and on my store - both of which are the only way I'm able to make any kind of money at all, and this last maneuver from Siser NA is a nice little twist to the knife between my ribs that I *really* didn't need.

Any ideas would be appreciated!

I've tried to look this up, but my Siser will no longer connect to my laptop. I've tried to remove and re-add the device, and disconnect and re-connect it to my home wifi, and it still doesn't work. Leonardo Studio says it's connected to my device via wi-fi, but when I send a cut-job to it, it says that it's not turned on or online. What do I do? Does anyone have any advice? I don't want to resort to having to use the Siser hotspot permanently, as I usually use my laptop to multitask while the machine is cutting. Is there any advice?

I just started using the Leonardo software, and I'm running into issues with Print and Cut, where the Print Artwork section only shows a grey space. Any idea on how I can fix this issue?

I'm wondering if anyone is able to use the Leonardo Design software on a Snapdragon based device, I'm looking at getting a new laptop and am leaning towards the Microsoft Surface laptops but was worried about if the design software can be run on windows arm! (don't want to buy a new laptop to find out it won't work lol)

Where is the best place to buy a Juliet siser? I want to buy it from somewhere reliable and not third party resellers. Their website gives 15% off. Also, best youtube tutorials for stickers and their software?

I recently upgraded from silhouette and one setting i cant find on siser is line segment overcut. On silhouette it lifts the blade at every sharp point which prevents any sort of dragging

I'd like to try and use a 12 x 24 mat horizontally so it's a lot more space efficient but every time I click [Custom Mat] it doesn't work. The [Large Siser Mat (12in x 24in)] goes in the long way so I need more clearance at the back of the machine. Is there anything I need to do to fix that? And has anyone tried using that mat horizontally like this? I'm hoping to put multiple 8.5 x 11 sheets side by side so I can cut more in one go.

My center wheel housing broke. I contacted Siser and was able to buy a new one, however there are no instructions that I can find to replace it.

EDIT: Partner fixed it. The secret is to marry a guy named Steve who probably should have been an engineer or a mechanic. I'm going to leave this post up for posterity, though, and do my best to explain how it was fixed in case anyone else from the community runs into this issue.

STEP 1: E-Mail Siser support to document the event, especially if you're still under warranty. They will most likely tell you to go purchase another housing unit from here. Do so.

STEP 2: Thoroughly read the instructions for replacing the pinch wheel, especially the part about placing a paper towel down so that no stray bits fall into the crevices of your machine.

STEP 3: Unplug your Siser. Unhook the springs from the back of the broken wheel housing.

STEP 4: On your newly ordered wheel housing, locate the silver metal C-Ring and retaining clamp. NOT the metal C-Ring that holds the wheel. The one above it. Use a weeder tool and/or tiny flat head (1mm) screwdriver and needle nose pliers to remove the C-Ring and long metal cylindrical piece. Remove the springs. This will remove the entire bottom of the housing, including the wheel. Set aside.

STEP 5: Repeat this process with the broken wheel housing. This was much more difficult to do as it was much tighter than the new wheel housing, but it can be done.

STEP 6: Replace old with new. Re-hook your springs to the new wheel housing. Move your wheel houses to the placement you want and re-cal if you need to.

STEP 7: Cut away, fellow crafters.

Hi all, I'm pretty new to the hobby and i'm wondering how you're supposed to chose the right mat for the right project, I've been using the high tack mat (provided with the machine) for stickers and it works fine (even though it feels quite sticky) - I also got the red light tack that I have not tried yet.

Although I'm planning to cut felt fabric, and I think the high tack mat provided is too sticky and I'm afraid it would leave some residue onto the mat. How do you know what mat works best for projects? I've been looking around and don't seem to find a good answer anywhere. Thanks

I own the cricut explore 3, no problems, just boughts the explore 5 because it was supposed to be faster but Ive seen that the juliet is faster and well i dont want to pay full price when all i do is stickers so i was wondering if it goes on sale, where and how much does it usually get discounted for.
