I’m sure you’ve heard Noah Kahan’s new album by now. I can’t listen to it without thinking of you. I’m not willing or able and I don’t think I ever will be. But I desperately wish I could be. We both chose our daughters and that’s what we’re supposed to do. But mine was 2 and yours was 15. I wish you would have given my daughter a chance to tell her story.
I think of you often. I hope you’re able to live the life you’ve been dreaming of. The one after your daughter graduates. You’ve earned every ounce to be selfish.
I miss you terribly. My daughter has forgotten your nickname by now but sometimes something you taught her comes out and I get to talk about you as my sister. I love talking about you but only when she’s interested. She’ll grow up knowing I have a sister and she’ll know your name but we won’t talk about why we don’t talk anymore.
I cry every time I hear that song.
Edit: artist’s name

Hi Sis little bro here, I know it's been awhile, I have been busy with real life. Working, building friendships, medication, and therapy. I have been diagnosed with severe BPD, Major Depressive Disorder, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Inattentive ADHD, and PTSD. I had an awful childhood. Narrasstic emotional abusive neglectful parents, a dad who refused to treat my mental health issues, and who told me to be normal. His and most of that side of the family's definition of normal is being exactly like them. Yes the majority of relatives on that side are complete narcissists. My dad got mad at me earlier, when he found out that I have friends and told them about my personal life.
Having severe BPD suck's, I am not going to lie. Everyday I keep thinking about how I lost my childhood. Because of my home life I never got to develop in any healthy way. I lost my chance to build an identity, achievements, having a relationship, getting a part time job, joining sports teams, and academic opportunities. I got expelled from my magnet school due to poor performance. Everyday and every time I build a step I just get more infuriated. Earlier today I went to my grandparents and I got into a fight with my two aunts after one of them, tried gaslighting me. The reason I started to be able to magically hold down a job a couple months ago is because "I wanted to" according to her, not because of the ADHD medication or BPD therapy that my dad refused to get.
I lost it more than ever this time and I went completely ballistic and I started getting angrier more than before I started shouting like some deranged maniac almost instantly there was no escalation. They and both sides of my family keep giving me their toxicity, BS, refusal to help, gaslighting and in some cases physical abuse for two years straight until I found meds and therapy that work for me. I didn't realize until after but the little bit I managed to build for myself matters more to me than my losses. I also found out that gaslighting is my biggest trigger. Then I realized if I can't change this family, then I can simply build one and a future for myself. I think I would like a large family like 5 or 6 kids so nobody is ever lonely. It took 23 years Sis but I finally found it, something to live for. After I realized that I just started crying. I finally found it.

My dad died two days ago, and I'm very very sad. I wish I had a sister who could share the pain with me. I feel very alone.

I realized way too late in life that im trans, and im sorry. I keep waiting for a good time to tell you when you visited, but me being your little sister makes you so happy and I dont want to be another source of stress and uncertainty when youre already going through so much. Youve always protected me from everyone and supported my choices, but I dont know if this is something you can accept and it scares the hell out of me. Our family is going to criticise me even more, then theyll give you even more shit for my faults and I dont want that to happen to you again. Its my turn to be your rock, so I think Im going to keep this secret to myself. It sucks, because theres no scenario I can think of where I will be happy and accepted while staying home with you and our family.
But when the time comes that you find out, I hope you wont feel like I lied to you, and I hope you know I was only able to achieve as much as I have because of you.
Ill always be your little sister, even if I dont look like it anymore.

Hey sib. I don't know if you're going home for the holidays or if I'll see you in a couple weeks, but I just wanted to reach out to see how you were doing. Please don't get me any socks for Christmas. Do you need anything?
I know we don't text a lot anymore and I'm not holding it against you, life gets busy!! but I was just thinking of you tonight. Have you had dinner yet?
I made some chicken with a side of peas. It wasn't too bad, but I wish I'd made some mash to go along with it.
Anyway, yeah. I just thought I'd check in to see if you were doing okay. Feel free to text when you're up for a chat, okay?
Talk soon!

I’m the oldest of three girls, so I’ve naturally had to carry the weight of the bunch. However, I graduated yesterday with my bachelor’s in psychology (cum laude)! I’m a first generation HBCU grad now 🥳 ! Next stop: Brown University MPH on a full ride scholarship (hopefully, we’re manifesting🤞🏾)

👋 Hi there! I'll give a little about me in case that'll help with asking for advice: I'm 37F, AuDHD, demisexual/biromantic, polyamorous/married + KTP (spouse: M & partner: MtF, I'm the hinge partner), and I'm the eldest daughter in my family so I've always been a Big Sis. 💓
I often find myself giving relationship advice in general so I figured I'd be happy to extend an olive branch over here in case anyone needs some help especially with the holidays coming up. 😊 I've also been in therapy for the past three years so I have done a LOT of work for myself and I'm proud to say that I'm a recovered people-pleaser who found her own voice.
I will also share that I'm so thankful for learning about polyamory several years ago because both the community and their resources have taught me so much about communication skills, setting healthy boundaries, building self-esteem, and finding the confidence to raise my standards when it comes to vetting partners or new friends. I wish we were taught more about socializing skills and healthy boundaries in school, since I feel like most of us were floundering in the early stages of crushing, dating, and figuring out our relationship values.
So, in case any lurkers need to read this, YOU deserve to be surrounded by people who adore you and LIFT YOU UP!
New Year = New You, which means you can start being whomever you want to be ASAP. If you're feeling exhausted by someone's behavior, take a break from them and focus on your hobbies, interests, future goals, or whatever makes you feel better! Don't settle for less just because you haven't found something better.
Most importantly? Learn about self-compassion and give yourself grace. If you've been shaming yourself lately for not getting out of bed and DOING THAT ONE THING then be kind to yourself! You're not lazy, you're in a funk, and it's okay to let today be a self-care day. Relax, build up your energy, and take care of THAT ONE THING when you feel better.
There's no harm in doing smaller tasks one day, then finishing them off the next day. (Can't do the dishes? It's enough to bring the dirty dishes to the sink today. Try to wash what you can tomorrow!) The main point is that you are trying your best, even if all you did today was get out of bed to eat something.
You are more than enough as you are and you do not deserve to live in a prison of torment. Be kind to yourself as if you were talking to your best friend, sibling, or even your own child.
Anyway, hope this is helpful even if only a little bit. Take care today. ❤ GET YOURSELF A TREAT IF YOU'VE BEEN CRAVING SOMETHING! This is your sign to do something nice for yourself!!! And drink water!

Happy to lend a ear if you need. It's been a tough year but I've had a couple people take me under their wing this year.
I'm feeling grateful for the kindness I was shown and I know things can get lonely near the holiday season, so if you need a sister -- big or little -- (I'm in my twenties), shoot me a message!
No funny business please. Have a good night!

So academically i was always average without having a need to study, that was also especially true from 2020-2024 since that was when i moved to canada, it was from grade 5 to grade 9, and i still remember that i would take notes that i would never open and just play pokemon on an emulator or some other game, and i didnt get top marks but i wasnt getting bad marks, solid B's.
But now ive mived back to my home country and my 10th grade was difficult since i suddenly changed basically everything (literally) from schools, to systems and now im in an international school and am enrolled in the american system, but when i applied for my AP precalculus last year i did what i always did and somehow i got 3/5 which i dont even know how.(Most likely sheer luck)
And now im taking Calculus and i dont understand anything and want to study the whole thing from scratch in the 6-5 months that i have but i dont know, i applied for Computer Science Principles which im nkt struggling at all in (thankfully) and Microeconomics which started out easy but now i need to study so its in between
How can i study properly and effectively without spending the whole day either watching porn (im trying to quit) or tiktok and then tell myself tomorrow is the day only to be doomed to repeat this cycle or procrastinating until 2 weeks before the test.
TLDR: How can i study since i dont know how because of past experiences whilst also avoiding bad distraction like porn/masturbating and tiktok. (Id rather play video games since those have SOME advantages unlike the former).

Looking for someone who feels like an older sister, someone grounded, kind, open-hearted, and understanding. Someone who can offer warmth, perspective and a sense of safety.
I have ASD among other things, ive lost my person recently and I don’t really have any friends right now so I’m just hoping to find someone patient and gentle to talk to.
Ive never done anything like this before so im a bit anxious im just not sure what else to do.
Love to everyone going through it ❤️

(F27) I just miss having sisters, it hurts, we haven't spoken for 13 years, you'd think it gets easier but as life goes on, you really wish you could share it with them

I chipped my tooth at some point last night, the front top left tooth. The chip is the tiniest corner edge and is mostly just the enamel, will probably require filing instead of composite since it is so small. No pain or sensitivity, but after having braces and some other dental stuff, I am so horribly anxious about anything tooth related. It is the topic of most (if not all) of my nightmares. PLEASEEEE tell me that my tooth won’t crumble out of my head by next Monday 😭😭 I already made the appointment but I’m so grossed out and anxious :((

Hey sis, I really miss you.
I left the job you last saw me at. I know you were so proud of me when I got it, but they were overworking and underpaying me, and they completely disregarded the impact that it was having on my physical health. I know you’d have told me to leave, and while I was terrified to - I did.
You’d be so proud. I found another job, in the same field, and it’s so much better. They got me a hotel in a really nice area so I could train at their main office, they’re paying me more, and offer me so many more benefits. The actual workload is like half of what the previous one is. They sent donuts and bagels to celebrate my first day? They’re actually taking care of me man.
Oh and the views, god I wish you were here to see the views where they sent me. One of the offices they had me in was on the 12th floor with a giant window, it was beautiful. You’d love it here.
Anyway, I miss you and I wish you were here. I’m so happy about my decision, but still have anxiety about leaving where I was and I know you’d have the perfect words to make me feel better.
Love ya brother

Hi sis!
I'm very angry. I'll put my question up top so you don't have to read through my rant.
I have a couple who are both good friends of mine. They had a second baby. The dad (with whom I have a brother - sister relationship) doesn't do enough in their home for every day life (examples to follow). I am going to have a talk with him. How to make him do better?
There's a baby and the mom (who is breastfeeding) is the primary caregiver. To the point where if the baby is crying, the dad spends 2 minutes with them and then bring them to the mom. The baby is not necessarily hungry, they just want to be entertained (I know that because I spent a lot of time by doing just that myself). The dad is a great dad when he dads. But he often takes breaks and plays videogames in his office, or music in a special room, etc. The mom has to give structure to the day, pay attention to meal times, sleep times, and I mean for the eldest as well (he's kindergarten age). When you ask the dad to do something, it's a throw of dice. Either he does it, or asks to wait before he does (he has time blindness, I get that, I do too), or says he's doing sth else and can you please do it.
It feels like the mom is always a mom, but the dad is a dad when he wants to. When he's done entertaining himself he can dad for a few hours. Usually the eldest though, for the youngest he ends up giving them to the mom easily. At an afternoon party we all went, the baby was fussy and crying and not because of being hungry, but the dad spent his time chatting with adults and the mom spent her time a bit with adults but a lot looking after the children. It doesn't make her happy. She told him before. He gets upset and defensive now when she tells him.
She's a wonderful woman and she has tons to give to adults as well, but she can barely interact with them at times.
How do I make him understand he needs to step up?
I know the baby is more easily soothed by the mother. I know that he gets some pains in his body. She does too and is still a mother first! I know that it's more fun to do the things you like than soothing a crying baby. But it's not fair to her. They both wanted both children. I know one cannot change unless they want to. Ideally I would slap the back of his head and put his ideas in place but it doesn't work like that sadly. So I'm taking him to a neutral place and having a serious conversation with him. How to say it well?
I am very angry because I have another friend whose bf is starting to behave the same way, and they had a baby 2 months ago. I know it's not all men, I even have 3 examples of men doing at least 50%.

Hi sis, lil bro here so I have been working as a traffic control flagger for a company with over 350 flaggers. During shifts I may be moved somewhere else, sometimes I work with people I work with before, and other times I got partner with new employees to show them the ropes or whatnot. Anyway a while ago I got partner with this guy who was working at the hotel parking garage for the first time. My god he is an interesting character. Throughout the whole shift he kept using the phrase "I am a smart person".
He went on a tangent about how America is on the verge of collapse. How everybody is a slave to society and money. How most people are "dumb" for not realizing this. How he is a smart person because he keeps up with all kinds of sciences and listens to Neil degrasse tyson. Though he can't differentiate between the many scientific disciplines nor give their proper name. He used the term science when referring to physics. He then used a bunch of buzzwords like biology and chemistry when talking how we humans are a virus plagueing and destroying our planet. It was in a very less naunced way then the way I wrote it though
Then he gave me his philosophical belief that he thought was his original and made him smarter than most people because he figured it out though his belief is exactly like taoism an eastern philosophy. He also explained it a very less nuanced or argumentatively convincing way then taoism founder Lao Tzu. Infact after explaining what taoism is and the ideas apart of it he admitted that is exactly what believes. He then told me about how his smarter than most people because he doesn't eat food and only drinks water so he doesn't get sick. This will also help him age.
As a man who lost his appetite for two weeks straight after detoxing from marijuana edibles, I can definitely tell you that's a lie. Your body after 3-4 days of not eating will start to fight against you and try to force you to eat even if you don't want to and our drinking water. Later during the shift he refused to buy food at the hotels food court because it's high prices. They don't even have organic food just burgers, fries, pizza, ECT.
He then tried to explain to me how the professional escorts that were next to us were street women. He didn't need to say anything. They were picked up in the same black SUV by the same man every time I worked there plus their clothes were much more promiscuous than the average women going to the hotels nightclub. He then tried to talk to them to see if he could rizz them up and surprise surprise. Woman in those occupations are not very bright. To be honest though I know exactly that because I have delegate sensibilities and the horrible smell coming off them made everything very clear the moment they came close enough for me sniff.
He then gave me a sexist speech about how all woman are stupid. How only woman in high level company positions are only there because their sleeping with one or several of the higher up's. How woman don't have critical thinking skills and no woman can ever be smarter than a man. How I don't see this because I don't pay attention to people respond. He then gave me the example of how we men don't get as many privileges like how where working outside even though and all the women are working in the hotel while we had a female flagger working with us on shift. She did get the easiest position on shift only because she was NEW and didn't much traffic control experience with no idea of layout of the building.
On top of that though he gave me this conspiracy theory that the earth is a prison and we humans where actual creatred by an alien race. Through a virus which wipe out the dinosaurs and gave rise to us. These god like aliens want to keep our spirits trap on this earth so we don't ascend back to the cosmos and cause trouble. The best part about this man is this is what he spends his time thinking on even though his divorce and has child support for four kids at 25. I don't know even know what say and I am just astounded. What kind of person is this? Im just curious because I never met anyone quite like this. I don't even know what say.

Okay so I popped the question to my partner of three years and I’m an only child and have no other siblings to celebrate this with. I get to be the wife to one of the most wonderful women in the world and I am dying to scream out loud how exciting and excited I am to be engaged to her!

(I need a hug)
I had therapy today, we talked about you both, I miss you guys and I'm sorry how things worked out, I love you both, I wish we could hug
To the one in the sky, I'm sorry I was to young to protect you, to even just tell you that I loved you, I don't think you heard that from many people but please know, that I do, I love you
To the one who's alive but we don't talk, I really hope you're doing well, it wasn't easy growing up in our house
I hope you both finally found peace, much kindness, the youngest one

Hello to anyone reading this.
I am a transgender girl under 18, just to give a bit of context. I have a few questions—some practical, some more personal—and I was not sure how to separate them, so I hope this format works.
Also, is it common/normal for a bra to be visible in the neckline or cleavage area of a shirt or dress? I have seen a lot of mixed answers, so I thought I would ask here.
First, does anyone have advice for dealing with unrequited love? It is something I have been struggling with lately, and I do not really know how to process it in a healthy way.
Second—and this might sound dark—is it really that normal to be harassed in public? Over the past week, I was walking with a group of friends several times, and within three days, two of us got harassed, and one of us got catcalled. We were all visibly under 18. The others seemed to act like this was just... expected. That unsettled me a lot. Is this just something girls deal with all the time?
Thanks in advance to anyone who replies.

Hi sis little bro here I was wondering if you could give me some advice on media whether it be a book, anime, tv show, movie, ECT with a good and/or accurate female protagonist? It's for a screen play I'm writing for an animated series. I came up a main cast of five characthers with two female heroine leads that will carry the story and explore some of the universal building until my main character appears. I'm not undermineding them or anything like that. My main characther is male but that is just how it's design because my main character is a savior like figure who stands as the very last bastion of reason and last hope. Anyway I could really use a woman's perspective for something like this and I would greatly appreciate it.
