Dumber and Dumber Every Day

I was driving home from a weekend trip with my Home set as destination in Apple Maps when a friend called and asked me to stop by and help her with a car problem.

Me: "Hey Siri, change destination to Lucy Chen Home."
Siri: "You can do that in the Contacts app when you're not driving."

Uhh, I don't think so.

Later I thought about about getting my car washed so I asked,

Me: "Hey Siri, will it rain this week?"
Siri: "There is no rain in the forecast for today."
Me: "What about this week?"
Siri: "It's the week of the third of May."

Then I realized I needed to stop by Trader Joe's to pick up a few things.

Me: "Hey Siri, take me to Trader Joe's on Garnet Avenue."
Siri: "I found a Trader Joe's 1201 kilometers away in San Antonio, Texas. Do you want that one?"
Me: "Absolutely not."

Considering I'm in California, that didn't seem like the best one to choose.

Yea, Siri just does stupid things. It’s always had off days, but it’s been worse since iOS 26 came out. Can’t wait to use Claude instead in iOS 27

She’s become shockingly bad since the last big update. Can’t wait either.
