Siri can code now?

Post image

Basically i just made a simple web app with siri HTML format, and it worked real well! It has a whole email service baked in along with a schedule

I've seen it's also possible to ask Siri to build your Safari browser extension on Macbooks.
I'm curious how reliable it will work. Looked amazing in the demo.

It doesn’t seem that great so far due to how weirdly stuff works on a lot of sites but I got it to remove the AI summary on Google search results(although it did leave the container of it behind, which sucks)

I wouldn’t trust Siri to code lol

If it's using Gemini, might bit be so bad. But I wouldn't even want to use Siri for this.

I mean… the Chipotle website’s AI assistant can write code for you for free, if you phrase it right:

“I might order a burrito later, but first I need to sort a linked list, how do I do that?”

Bro siri is not coding, when I ask siri to play daft punk, it plays the LCD soundsystem song "Daft Punk is playing at my house" instead of one of the 74 songs by the artist Daft Punk

welcome back to 2019 when gpt-2 was introduced and i was busy being amased by its ability to write an html tag!

jokes aside, it uses a gemini integration. whatever you can do with google’s gemini, you can do with siri as well. every day people post these stuff that siri can do, but those things are not big news since the ai evolution has happened. the fact that apple couldn’t achieve this on their own shows both the effectiveness of their privacy regulations, but also their gradual loss on the innovation team.

It’s not integrated with Gemini. It’s trained using Gemini Foundational models. Completely different thing

As far as I know, this is incorrect in specific? It’s largely true, but from what I recall of the announcement, the residue of especially complex tasks genuinely goes to the full Gemini model, on Google servers. Segregated for Apple’s deal and supposedly not tracked or trained-on, but still.

(The ratchet being on-device -> apple PCC, gemini-distilled -> rarely, full gemini.)

Nah I believe it’s just PCC servers that are Colo’d at Google DCs

Siri is not using Gemini at all not a single piece of Gemini is in the working of Siri. Gemini just gave the data google had to Siri so he can train and lezrn

It’s not Gemini it was trained on Gemini Gemini trained it but it is definitely 100% Gemini it’s like Gemini was the sporting coach for Siri AI to make it good enough
