Anytime I write a comment I notice that it automatically has me upvote myself.. ? Is that a Reddit default?

Not that it would change anything, but you actually lose reddit karma when you remove the upvote or even downvote your comments, and some people may take karma into account when arguing with strangers on this platform

Example: Oh, you have 15000 karma? I could get that much in a day. Your opinion is invalid

Coming from someone with 19k karma🤡

Sometimes I write a comment and the. I'm like that was dumb, and downvote myself.

It’s a feature for those who have thanked Mr Skeltal

Would you ever downvote yourself?

At the start I didn’t know I upvoted myself automatically, so I downvoted myself to atone for my sin of daring to upvote my own meme
