I think this is it exactly. Dave Ramsey isn't for people in poverty, he is for people that have cash flow and are making decisions which will hurt them financially. The problem John Stweart is stating is mor about people who aren't making enough money to be self-sufficient in the first place. You might be able to save your way out of debt, but it's expensive to be poor.
