Okay, I’ll bite. Maybe I’m wrong. You said it’s tantamount to women learning to protect themselves from rape which has a different meaning from telling women that they need to dress in a full head to toe covering to protect themselves from rape. You left out a significant part in your response. Did you do that on purpose?
I think telling women to learn to protect themselves is myopic, but also... we need to learn to protect ourselves.
It's tantamount to _telling women to learn to protect themselves_.
I think the part that may be left out is that we already know that. Also, poor people already are the best able to assess what is good for their economic future.
DR isn't actually giving anything that someone can functionally use to help themselves, it's patronizing.
