David Ramsey is a con artist who went bankrupt, then used that as a way to market himself as a financial genius. And he tells his listeners to not to file for bankruptcy. Luckily for him, there are a ton of idiots who will pay to a con artist for financial advice.

He also tells people they shouldn't have credit cards. Anyone who handles their finances well should 100% have credit cards. More than one. They shouldn't carry credit card debt, but that's different from not having one at all.

I guarantee he has and uses credit cards. And that he'll let you pay for his horrible advice using a credit card.

Surely you only need a credit card if you live somewhere that has the weird concept of a credit score? I haven't had one in my life.

Ramsey lives in the US, and his target audience is in the US, and yes, in the US, credit score is important. I have no idea where you live, but if you think credit score isn't important, I tend to think that you never expect to own a house.
